2018 is when this team gets really interesting. Twins off the book, Petterson back from Sweden, another high first rounder.

I'm just trying not to think about 2017/2018.... I see Gagner really disappointing people ( I can't even see him getting 40 points with this team). Excited to see Hutton/Stecher/MDZ though, those 3 guys really interest me. With EG, I think that can be a decent top 4 if they can tighten the screws

Assuming Snow is dumb enough to let JT go UFA. There are 30 teams that would pay JT what he wants. Why would he come to a rebuilding team years away from being a contender? Not to mention high tax cost of living West Coast team with worse travel schedule in league. Won't go into the rest of it above as tackling the most obvious.

Well linemate C Lias Andersson is 5'11 190lbs so you think the Rangers chose the better C at #7?

EP has been playing wing with his league teams. EP does say he prefers C. Either way he knows he needs to put on some more weight and strength. A lot can happen in a year.

Note Karlstrom a 90th 2016 Stars pick at 6'2 185lbs is 1LC. He's not noted for his offense. But plays a solid two way game.

Agree on WJC line rosters this is all development and experiment time.

As for Zhukenov the Canucks have his rights. It would be nice to have a good Center prospect in AHL if they stack it with winger prospects. But he left junior and chose a KHL contract over AHL low pay & buses. He can develop just as well and maybe better with that move. It's not any different then EP playing in Sweden. Or Guadette staying in NCAA. Let's wait and see if he gets to level to compete for NHL role where things are at.
