I feel the exact opposite. So far this season is all logistics and very little action/substance

Have you watched the last two episodes? lol

Yeah, idk, in fairness it's not my favorite show. My favorite scene this season was Sam cooking and. Cleaning the poop pans. I thought that was really well done No whitewalkers is disappointing and the rest has been people on boats or talking about where they're gonna take their boats

But there's but *spoiler alert* three big battles crammed into the last two episodes. In the past those would've all been their own episodes

Sweet

I do think the dialogue has benefited immensely now that it isn't tied to GRRM's writing. Dude is good at world building, but not so much at dialogue. At times in the early seasons was somewhat soap opera-ish. Tyrion and Jon snow's convo last night was really good.

Basically all the sam stuff this season has been my favorite. I'm still waiting for one of the dragons to become a white walker dragon. That would be awesome

Edit: is this still from the original books?

I feel like the show isn't as good now that they are past the books. It feels like they keep giving the fans too much of what they want, which totally goes against the nature of Game of Thrones.

Season 6 forward is past the books. The last book ended with you-know-what happening to Jon at the end of season 5

Interesting. I read like half of book 3 on a train so i can't really say too much about the adaptation part. High fantasy isn't really my thing, but it's an easy show to watch. I think Jon snow and Daenerys are gonna get married to avoid the whole pesky war thing.

I don't see the show having these two in a winner take all battle. Maybe one of them attacks cersei and dies, but idk. If the whole thing ended with the white walkers taking over the world, i would be 100% down with that, but the chance of that happening approach zero
