Miller was on 2 very good Sabres teams, 2 decent ones, & some poor ones
Niemi was on the Hawks & the Sharks,
who were really good EVERY year
How many other better goalies did Niemi have better stats than?
Go check out the stats for all the Anaheim goalies the last 10-12 years
None of them were great, but they all have really good winning% too
Winning% is a team stat

No denying plenty of moves made, and it will be interesting to see how these guys come into camp and earn their respective position.
I'm most excited about seeing Antipin's game, but anticipate Scandella being most impactful by virtue of solidifying Risto left side...if he earns that position outright, rather than by default...it could be Hudddgggggggaa |

And the sole reason for it being decent was Miller's Vezina year.
Miller was never Lundqvist. But he was a workhorse, above average goalie who was slightly over rated by the media after the Olympics.
He still was one of the better goalies of this past generation. |
