Na I'd throw Karlsson in the generational category, not many defenseman can boast about 2 Norris trophies at his age. - SRam19
He is also 9th all time in points per game by a defenseman, despite him being on an offensively challenged team. He is also the only player in the top 25 that was born after 1970, 20 years is a massive gap to be waiting for a player like that |

that's because he's hitting his prime. his ppg should be at its peak or close thereto.
the hard part is maintaining that ppg as you age. and you know he'll playing until he's 40ish. |

i definitely don't think ovechkin is generational. the subgrouping makes sense but waters down the word/term imo.
i don't think karlsson is there to be generational for dmen. i'd go lidstrom as the last one. - RealityChecker
You certainly could make an argument for Karlsson though…2 Norris trophies and his stats are unreal for a dman in this era.
OvenChicken is definitely NOT generational…he is to Crosby what Matthews will be to McDavid basically. |

Probably true but with injuries nowadays one never knows.
And thanks again for recommending 'Fog of War' watched it this morning over a pot of coffee and man was that outstanding. |

This may be true, when Makita asked everyone to chill prior to this i listened, but the two partners complaining about him as a mod and playing the innocent card has upset allot of posters and I doing think that those of us that feel that they acted like little rat b1tches may be willing to risk a ban to call them out and make them feel unwelcome, hopefully they go away for a break and the newest one of the two just goes away.
That being said this is a blog for discussing recipes and the fire station. How's your situation up there? Our little volunteer fire department is sending a few firefighters for a week next week to try to help out. It's super smoky and hazy out obj the water, I can even see the mainland across Georgia straight. - Pres.cup
This place use to have a lot more traffic... and the rules use to be Dog Eat Dog... it was normal to way over react. Now it's a much smaller group in here... with fewer polarising personalities, and Mods who set a higher standard. So I really don't understand why it is like rolling the calendar back a decade?
I'd welcome all the firefighters we can get that's for sure. My father already went through his 2nd evac south of 100 Mile. Up here at my place, I see about 50 choppers a day carrying water to a fire. It must be close enough that I'm in between the flames and their water supply... been 3 weeks of that now... I'm not even on Evac Alert though and don't feel alarmed at all... in two weeks I'm off to the Skeena for some early Steelhead and Coho... |

Also goofy gold and breakout Brock.
New pay style, let me know how it sounds.
Eloquent skaters they are silken threads on sand. Comprehensive skills that are lacking ate better then none.
Forwards our defenceman which are driving back. Comprehensive studies show a skew in statistical goals for corporations, do they translate into on ice performance?
Aspects of faceted crystallized represented by ea sports skillsets show a decline in coherent comprehension of literary genius, discuss?
Folksy or stylish is bricks hair better then Goldies?
Brock shot or Elias dangle?
Henrik on the draw or Sutters skating?
Genetics shout out when generational talent sniffs around at abiding emotional rule.
Hockey talk guys, stick to hockey ok. - Pres.cup
I think Goldy plays both sides. My preference, as I've said many times, is Dahlin. But a top2 pick would be amazing.

Yes, I meant to go back at edit to say "currently", he will definitely play until 40 and will have a tough time maintaining those numbers unless his team adds more firepower. I agree with your recent post though that someone could surpass him from his reign as best D in the league too, these are early judgement on his 'legacy' so to speak.
That being said, he is the standard for offensive defenseman. Prospects like Dahlin are being heralded as the next Karlsson, Makar had similar comparisons made. I think whether or not he finishes his career among the all-time greats, wont change his impact on the way the league views thin, good skating, offensive minded defenseman |

Two former BCHL products. Suzuki, Dube, Raddysh scored on again.
Timmins and Chowolski have been on for all 3 goals now?
This is the team that lost 8-2 to USA. |

Dube has been awful all tournament. Chowolski is infuriating on the power play. He carries over the blue line every time and fails. |

Limited minutes and 4th line role but he deserves it. Lind bas been shaky but he battles hard every shift. Same cant be said for over half that team |
