They are which is great...but people still need to make informed purchases. A lot of the vinyl nowadays is heavyweight pressed yes but it's the mastering process that makes them sound great..same goes for CD's. a lot of the vinyl today are cut from digital (not analog master tape) masters or right from the CD's and they sound like crap. So research your purchases before buying and make sure the new vinyl being bought is sourced from the original analog master source tapes...ot you may as well just stick with the CD or a crappy digital download.
CD's have their place like anything. I for one am dumping all my CD's lossless into iTunes but you have to have backups upon backups upon backups in case the hard drive crashes. Always keep the physical copies if you can. I know they are a storage pain and nightmare but you will be happy you kept them as a back up. And CD's have a lot of tracks on them that will never get into digital files as well such as remasters with bonus tracks, live tracks...etc etc etc.
I like having the usb/non-CD options in the car as well it's super convenient and sounding better with each passing day, but I will never get rid of my physical media. Ever.

Real good tip on the vinyl, I never really thought to look how it was recorded/pressed - WhiteLie
No problem at all.
I've been into high end audio stuff since around 1997 and I actually sold and worked in the industry on the side. Any fidelity or gear questions I can pretty much answer if anyone needs advice. |

It almost always does if done properly for sure. Newer digital recordings can be killer too but it requires a meticulous amount of effort to get them right. Most record companies now are too lazy and cheap to get the product out there with proper quality nor do they want to spend the time mastering it correctly. |

I had one of those old Pioneer tube powered receivers. The sound of that was really pleasant. Miss that 1. Transistors just don't sound that way |

I don't have a problem with the signings but they need to sign 5 more and have 4.8 to spend. They may be deep but the bottom end may be very shallow. |

For sure tubes bring something to the equation that transistors just can't. I tried for years to run an all-solid state transistor based system and eventually went back to putting a tube preamp back in the audio chain. I listen to a lot of vinyl still obviously and to me tubes are an absolute must for well-recorded vinyl. |

the wild is definitely a deep team and young depth too! one day *sigh* one day.
i think the niedereiiter deal is market value but probably the higher end. good for both sides.
i'd be worried about holding on to granlund long term. will they be able to afford him long term? 5.75 is definitely reasonable but 3 years is definitely too short! haven't looked into their longer term cap but 3 years is not a long time to get him signed again! |

Boudreau went on record sand said Minny has as good a top 9 as any team in the league. |

Then they'll need to bring up 4 more from their farm and all those players NHL salaries will act against their cap, come opening night they'll have under 2 mil in cap space, minor injuries will hurt them. |
