The reason I think next year is a keen year to buy is because of ELCs . I agree move out vets including Eriksson if you can find a sucker , I mean taker

I think Gagner and Del Zotto are smart signings . If we could get Turris Kane short term would be ideal but I think teams will offer long term

- VANTEL

UFAs are not where you will generally find short term deals. i think that's optimistic unless dealing with lower tier free agents.

i think the top role players (core or whatever term you want to use) should come from drafting for the team.

i don't want to see a front line UFA brought in. it will hinder not accelerate the rebuild.

I love watching Swedish defenders play defence before they come to North America and coaches ruin them. So many slick little plays off the boards, spins to get away from forecheckers.... Im rooting for Canada but I love watching Swedish prospects, they are such natural puck movers.

You have Gagner now for three years . You can move Sutter and have 18.5 mil to replace two top line players . I would be offering two BC boys Turris and Kane both 6 year deals

I think they are the same type. Sutter is cheaper
- VANTEL

RNH can create offense, Sutter's offense is a product of him playing with someone who can bring that out in him, he doesn't make other players around him better I guess is what I'm trying to say.

I really don't mind losing as long as it is entertaining. I admit I am desperate to move on from the cycle slow game of the twins

i will strongly disagree. strongly.

rnh got passed on the depth chart which is entirely understandable. he may not be the superstar he was first billed as but he would be worlds better than sutter for this team.

Dragon, I have not picked fight with you for no reason in the past, so I hope you don't take this the wrong way. But you definitely, 100% have multiple times come off as misogynistic when talking about women in the past. Between that and constantly referring to women in order to insult posters (ie female dog, sally, whatever). I personally have no beef with you, but maybe just don't talk about women and stick to hockey?

Good reasonable post neem! I fear it won't do any good as the denial is strong.

These Swedes can really move the puck and seem to have quicker foot speed than many previous groups.

Sutter has a decent shot, that's pretty much the main reason he scores 20 Goals regularly. If he doesn't have a guy setting him up/ driving the net (doing all the work) he's useless, its hard to find wingers that do that consistently (Pittsburgh had them). I take RNH over Sutter anyway of the week.... I keep hoping the Canucks will trade for RNH in the next few years considering he plays under Leon/Mcdavid.

It's not the blog you want to move on from, it's the comment section. Carol is the best blogger/writer on this site.

Let's hope that we just put Petterson on the Jake Virtanen diet and not touch his game. At first I was disappointed to see him playing wing, but he's battling o the boards a lot, will go to the net, has tried some moves. My first time really watching Peterson other than youtube clips, and so far Im not mad at Jim Benning!

agreed, once I saw people were talking about politics I didnt even bother checking the comments the last few weeks, that's the dog days of summer, not hockey going on.... doesnt help that the actual website is horsepoop, takes like 15 minutes of lag from the ads to post a comment

I still read Carols blog daily though, amazed that even in August she's still pumping out great articles. HUZZAH TO CAROL

That's why is better suited to be a 4th line center over Gagner.

Gagner's too small to play center and he doesn't skate well enough, he's had the majority of his success on the wing and special teams.

I can see him playing on the wing with Bo....Is Gagner a lefty? It bothers me how many left handed forwards we have -.- it may be just OCD

I never really care about his personality he doesn't seem like that bad of a guy, he's just an overrated hockey player imo.

Little known fact: Kane has 0 slapshot goals.

I'm not a fan of his game, I would rather wait on guys like Lind/gadjovich/Goldy/Dahlen to fill that LW scoring spot
