You're talking about next season right? Not the upcoming one.

We are all talking about not extending the twins. Let the contract run out and part with handshakes.

Teams like Oilers Leafs and Flames that held onto Ferrence Ryan Smythe Dion Kessels and Iginla did not make any progress until they let them go and let younger players take over . The real reason those three teams advanced is because of McDavid Matthews Marner Gadreau Monahan and Draisitl.

We don't have those players in our fold so it will take a while.

Teams like Flyers Canes Devils Yotes Panthers and on and on insulate their team with older player and look where they are.

Keeping the Sedins to insulate this team is lazy and a fantasy . We are going to be bad with them or without them. I would much rather watch Evander Kane play first line than Daniel Sedin . That is my take .

I'll be very disappointed if they extend them. Let them go and fill in with short term UFA's *if* needed.

We will most likely be getting a top 5 again.... probably a elite winger being added... 6-10... a great D. Stay the course.

Ding ding ding give the man a prize

The absolute worst thing about the Sedins is there are TWO of them . Del Zotto or Gagner or even Sutter and Tanev can be traded. Sedins can not . You will tie up TWO top 6 spots with players with a certain style and won't pass to line mates and can't be traded.

Why would you do that ?

Yes when Bailey's a UFA. With JT also needing to be signed NY may be in trouble.

I don't know why any good ufa would want to sign in Vancouver at this point, or next year for that matter. The team will still suck.

Lots of better teams can offer money, you've gotta have a chance to win or you get second or third tier UFA's. No one wanted to sign in Edmonton until McDavid and Draisaitl came along. We don't have that.

At the moment, Syria and Russia have 100% legal right to shoot down any jet NATO or Israel sends into Syrian territory without Assad's permission. Also, that recent missile attack Trump did on Syria... Russia had the 100% legal right to sink the ships sending in the missiles(which are shadowed by Russian subs). The only reason it hasn't turned into an all out war is because Russia has not taken the bait and kept focused on ridding Syria of ISIS and the American proxies that were unleashed on the nation. The official opposition groups for the most part have reconciled and are fighting Al-Nusra, HTS and ISIS instead.

Now if Russia did retaliate by sinking a missile cruiser or flip the switch on the S-400 and start dropping jets out of the sky... all simulated models have the tit for tat escalating to all out war in Europe and the middle east in less than a week. The simulations conclude at the very least, small and short range nukes... and if Hillary won the election, we would have reached this point already most likely because she was the one who said she would apply a no fly zone in her campaign... shadowing her most compatible colleague and political ally John McCain... which we've seen in the past means knocking out air defences, air fields, downing planes, and basically bombing the poop out of everything.... Russia would respond for sure if they were the target of any of this and you cannot have a no fly zone without including Russians in Syria.

The idea of a WWI or WWII scenario is unlikely... but we are in a new age. World wars will be fought differently...

Edit: No world war would come of attacking NKorea. They don't have allies... just a couple of reluctant business partners...

In 2015 a Russian fighter jet was shot down by a NATO ally. Not much happened. Russians are about posturing. Nothing more.

You talking twins? Linden already said they will retire canucks. So it's really up to them to make that decision. It's not about what the canucks want or need to do.
