He just signed off on those illegal sanctions. That was pretty big. Putin is raging over it. Putin just kicked out over 70 American diplomats in response... first time ever... things are at an all time low... this Putin Trump collusion narrative is nothing but bullpoop. Let it go... you don't need that to reject Trump... there is plenty enough everywhere else in this mess. If there was meddling, what ever. USA has meddled in 81 elections since the CIA was formed... Every single thing Russia is accused of, USA is 50x more guilty. Time to put the focus more on America if these things Russia's accused of are to be taken seriously then.

The Congress passed a veto proof bill Trump had no choice. If he didn't sign it became law anyway and faced political suicide not to mention more fuel to investigation. Trump's official signing statement that gets attached to the legal order was telling how much against it he was calling it unconstitutional.

Anyway, like I said there are interests on different sides where people do things for money, power and influence. Both sides are guilty of it. The Magnisky act to sanction Putin and his ruling class Oligarchs was the main reason he used cyber operation. The sanctions that were in place were just codified into law by Congress because they didn't trust Trump in rolling them back without gain for USA.

Sure everything went great in Crimea except for the non Russians who couldn't get fair market value for their property when they decided to leave after harassment and death threats.

That's nothing compared to what ethnic Russians have faced in the East. Please search "Masacre in Odessa" on youtube. We are talking ethnic cleansing here... building full of people being torched and the people jumping out of windows are being beaten to death on the ground with pipes as they flail around with broken legs... all of it on film... it went on all night... 48 murdered in this one incident alone... it's one of the most horrific things I have ever seen...

It is... just like Russia's system is. Officially it's not... just to get around the missile agreements... only difference is that Russia hasn't tried to deploy something like this anywhere but Russia. THAAD showing up on their border is a pretty big deal and a far cry from "a few Tornados".

Put it this way, every time one of America's rivals tests a system with just some of THAADS capabilities... USA immediately cries about it being a offensive weapon, agreements being broken and even attacks the country over it... or sanctions... that pretty much says it all...

- boonerbuck

The Americans may cry about similar systems being offensive it still doesn't make them right. THAAD stands for Thermal High Altitude Area Defense, they are designed to detonate at high altitude, unless they use it on planes it's not an offensive weapon.

I hear ya... yesterday I listened to a guy go on and on how Obama didn't go to war.. that is a Republican thing... well, what about Libya... exact same thing as Bush's Iraq. Lies were told at the UN... then an invasion.... then the admitting they got the intel wrong... making it an accidental invasion that worked out good for mankind... followed by ISIS and or Al-Qaeda....lol....

They can run different missiles on these systems. America will be the first one to point that out when they are protesting the development of them by rivals.

They could put all the missiles on satellites then they're on no one's border. The thing with these weapon systems is they can castrate a ICBM developed country that's why the only countries complaining about them are US, Russia, and China, yet all the other countries seem to want them deployed in their countries.

Wait, The Massacre in Odessa was before the civil war broke out in the East actually... this was already happening to the ethnic Russians. They have been hated ever since they were given to Ukraine in 54... but it really got out of control when the Soviets fell and elections were introduced. Now Ukraine had one third of their population always voting for their own interests... the hate turned into violence. After the coup, the violence escalated and turned into arson and mass murders... ethnic cleansing by Right Sector and Azov battalion... which the Gov later let have their own fighting battalions on the front lines... Neo Nazis... but they have seats in Parliament as well... these are legit Nazis right... not just some far right wieners... they worship Bandera... the most ruthless Nazi in WWII... and he's a (frank)ing national hero in that country... Jews have been leaving Ukraine in huge numbers since the coup... I don't blame them one bit.

It's really not the missiles that scares them it's the advanced powerful radars on these systems.

Perhaps THAAD or GMD's could be turned into offensive strikes. Though it's effect is giving defensive power tipping the balance for any other possible offensive activity military, cyber or economic. Russia is developing their version the Almaz-Antey defense for missile defense systems and is open to its deployment. They have it in Syria. No one is innocent in playing power games.

Sounds like Yugoslavia, who thought it was a good idea to put ethnically different groups under the same border. I have a Croatian friend who's father hated Serbians more than any other group, yet the powers that be put them in the same country.

I remember a joke he told me.

I wonder what the narrative would be if Russia tried to put their system in Cuba or Mexico or somewhere else close by... Hmmm....

I have Croatian friends. I had a beef with one of them for a bit in the 90's and threw a sheep head on his porch just to be an ass. The game biologist(mandatory inspection) had cut the lips away to take tooth sample and the eyes were freezer burned... thing looked scary awesome... Buddy later had me believing he gave it to his Serb neighbours who cooked and ate it... think he was joking though.

That's your conspiracy accusation .... yeah pretty sad attempt at a joke you need to find better material to troll me. You responded to my post and not with a ribbing or a counter of an opinion. But still didn't state what you think I did.

I can guarantee you that for a split second he thought that he could eat it himself.
