That's your conspiracy accusation .... yeah pretty sad attempt at a joke you need to find better material to troll me. You responded to my post and this isn't a ribbing or a response to an opinion. - Nuck4U
Shame on you. |

I have Croatian friends. I had a beef with one of them for a bit in the 90's and threw a sheep head on his porch just to be an ass. The game biologist(mandatory inspection) had cut the lips away to take tooth sample and the eyes were freezer burned... thing looked scary awesome... Buddy later had me believing he gave it to his Serb neighbours who cooked and ate it... think he was joking though.

Try dating a Croatian and Serbian girl at the same time during the war then. I picked up dirty words from each and they thought I was into them. Funny thing they spoke the same language but wouldn't admit it was SerboCroation. |

...but back to an earlier comment about NATO pushing back for Ukraine... it can be argued that Russia grabbing Crimea was push back on NATO for the western coup/color change in Ukraine. Hands off Crimea kind of thing... |

Perhaps THAAD or GMD's could be turned into offensive strikes. Though it's effect is giving defensive power tipping the balance for any other possible offensive activity military, cyber or economic. Russia is developing their version the Almaz-Antey defense for missile defense systems and is open to its deployment. They have it in Syria. No one is innocent in playing power games. - Nuck4U
They have it in Syria... a sovereign nation being bombed by NATO and Israel... and hit by American cruise missiles... yet they don't use it. It's to protect the air base at Letakia.

You can't use a defensive system that's not under attack.
Assad's Syria is far from a sovereign nation where it's in multi-faction, multi-pronged civil war that different groups backed from Iran, Turkey, Saudi's, USA and Russia just to name a few who play power games with the pawns they use.
The one time used cruise missile strikes was political theater that had many layers to it. I don't see any side with clean hands here. |

I watched EP at this junior tournament. Seems on the small ice he's trying to adjust with timing. No dangles yet which comes with confidence. He plays smart both sides of the puck.

The system itself doesn't have to be under attack.. it can protect everything in the 400 km dome with it... but Russia is not the target.. true. Point I was making as well.
Burn it to the ground then point and say... they are not a sovereign nation... Like republipigs who cheer for bombing Arabs into the stone age and then say... look how they live....

Shall see how he does vs Canada tomorrow. It's also a tournament with a lot better players then at Canucks Dev camp. A bit harder to stand out as much.

I don't think both will be here at the end of the season. Which one do you keep?

if thee Canucks give BO 6+ over 5-7 years then there is a Hank handing the C over at years start .. Horvat is Captain next year - onesmallleap
I hope not. Just what he needs, new contract with the pressure to live up to it along with the captaincy... might be setting him up to fail.
we can go a season or two without naming a or him a permanent captain.
but beyond Bo, I don't see much Captain material in the system. |

I think Granlund would be the better 3rd liner. |

I would agree. Unless Baert outshines him big time.
Granny is more versatile. Also depends on contract.
Sven may bring back a higher return. |

Only wingers who have it safe is LE & BB. Anyone else has to keep improving or look over their shoulder at others who want it. Our winger depth makes for competition. Goldy could replace Sven easy enough if dealt. |

Sven played a 1:20 less per game. Did score at a better rate. PPP were 8-7 for Granny.
Sven threw more hits and blocked more shots. Giveaways/ Takeaways they were even.
Granny was much much much better in the shots for/against. |

That's nothing compared to what ethnic Russians have faced in the East. Please search "Masacre in Odessa" on youtube. We are talking ethnic cleansing here... building full of people being torched and the people jumping out of windows are being beaten to death on the ground with pipes as they flail around with broken legs... all of it on film... it went on all night... 48 murdered in this one incident alone... it's one of the most horrific things I have ever seen... - boonerbuck
there is extremely sad humans can be capable of such horrific acts |
