What's going on here? lol Malkin on the RW? - j.boyd919
If the Sedins were a reality it would be something like this:
Guentz-Crosby-Sheary
Hags-Malkin-Horny
Sedin-Sedin-Kessel
Bottom three wouldn't matter... 3peat... |

- Soon to be 37
- I could imagine its possible they both want to play together and so will only move together to the same team, taking away atleast one roster spot
- They ugly as (frank)
- I agree about waiting till next year's UFA class.
- I think their play will continue to decline |

I dont mind if he gets a small raise I just dont want him signed longer than 3 years. - MattStrat
If his term is only 3 years I'll be thoroughly surprised. I won't complain about a three year extension though |

Even if he declines to a 25-30 point player.. at the right price he'd still be valuable on the 3rd and 4th lines. - j.boyd919
I don't think any of us expect to get him at the right price. I also don't expect him to decline that much though. Maybe instead of a 25g 50 pt guy he becomes a 20g, 40 pt guy. He'd be worrh it at his current salary depending on term.
With so many young wings, I probably wouldn't keep him. Big raises coming in 2 and 3 years. I would like him for a couple years though so if the team had some extra salary I might. I don't care about the long-term problems this team, just want to maximize the next 3 years. |

100% agree with this on every level. Stack the (frank)ing team for the next 3 years and try to do as much damage as you can. |

-Age is just a number (see Cullen)
-Having both Sedins on Pittsburgh's 3rd line with say.. Rust would be awesome.
-Who gives a rats ass what they look like.. you jerkin off to Pens games?
-They are part of next years UFA
-No one is signing them to be 1st liners. Loading up 3rd line with Talent is the purpose, so even if they only hit 30-40 points a piece.. that's right in line with what Hags+Bones did 2 years ago. |

That probably works. I was working on a theory that sedins want to play on a line together. And can't put kessel with crosby. So chose malkin to play with crosby which has shown very good results in the past. I guess malkin with kessel also works. Plus if we ever actually signed the sedins on 1 year contracts I would assume we let hornqvist walk in that situation (to pay them something reasonable like 3 million each). |

I like the idea of sedin - sedin - rust. I would think that could be a legitimate shutdown line when we get to pick match ups. I guess that means putting kessel with malkin.
Pipe Dream, but I do expect they look to do something like what colorado did a long time ago where a bunch of old veterans signed with an already good team on the cheap. |

I thought we were talking a trade for the upcoming season, my bad......
But even in FA, I doubt we get them without the pair and I don't think they'll sign short deals.
And yes, I get concerned about the collective attractiveness and softness of the team. |

BlueJackets are in on the Duchene trade:
https://twitter.com/1stoh...status/893449486235836416
If Columbus gets Duchene, does that push GMJR to get a good 3C before the start of the season? - so_buzz11
Columbus is garbage (but playoff caliber garbage - not like colorado garbage). Within a couple of months there will be pandemonium as someone else ends up in Torts in doghouse and he begins threatening to fight other coaches. The honeymoon of last season will be over. |

Definitely shut down line because the puck would be in the offensive zone the whole shift. |

Pens just won B2B cups with 2 of the "softest" rosters I've ever seen lol |

Yep, I said Torts will make Panarin cry probably before November is over!
Unless Columbus makes a big change, they may not make the playoffs! |
