The Pens won their two recent Cups because they brought up people from the minors or juniors who eventually stepped up their game to the NHL level, even if they did struggle at first in some cases. Why can't this work again for the 3C position? Especially considering that there are no FA options and very poor trading options it may actually be the only option. |

Don't think they have a center in the minors ready for those kind of minutes. Rowney is their most NHL ready center and I don't think any of us want him as 3C. |

You can't just do that in a vacuum. There's a difference between promoting a guy whose ready for the NHL and needs some time to adjust to the different game and just promoting a guy without the ability or experience for the jump. This is easier said than done. And we really don't have anyone the AHL projecting as a NHL 3c.

Not even by a long-shot, but I'm 100% fine with trying him out at 4C for a few months.
If JR doesn't make any moves though? It's likely he could start the season at 3C until a move is made. Luckily he'll have quality wingers... |

I'm predicting Ryan Reaves with 16 goals this year. Twill be Blake Comeau 2.0 |

Isn't Dominik Simon a C? I think he's more promising than Sundqvist. A lot more puck skills. |
