Entertainment and loyalty are intertwined? The 2011 team under AV was about as entertaining as watching paint dry, but was successful (to a degree). The canucks have never been an overly exciting team since the departure of bure imo. I support the canucks through thick and thin, so entertainment, or lack of, will not remove me as a fan... the sedins retiring will be the best thing for this team. Unbelievable people, undeniable contributions to community, canuck stats, etc and will be hall of fame players and have their jerseys retired by the canucks, but they arent doing anything for this franchise currently.. truth sucks sometimes..
Edit - Horvat is the most entertaining player since Bure, which gives me hope. Until the sedins are gone though, horvat will play in the shadow of henrik, mainly in ice time. Give Bo more ice, see more entertainment and see more success. - Codes1087
i'm going to go ahead and disagree on this one.
The Sedin's when they were winning Art Ross trophies and putting up 100 + pts seasons, with those amazing passes and between the leg goals were and are far more entertaining that Bo Horvat.
Bo will be good (not great).
The Sedins were great.
No contest imo. |

Couple players on each team having super hot games and owning those goalies.
Too bad Lockwood wasn't healthy maybe he could surprise and show like them. Guadette & Dahlen are too old OJ wants to turn pro. Lind is a dispointment and wondering if worthy of #33rd. Gadjovich shows promise with battle like Dipietro. EP good but not great to lead team so far. - Nuck4U
Lind is not disappointing. I would guess hes a bit of a slow starter. Just seemed as if he wasnt up on the coaches system. Hes a 2nd rounder. In most drafts if 30 players make an actual contribution in the nhl, thats a pretty good draft. |

Bo to me has potential to be a 1c, but is more suited for 2c. Henrik is a 2c by default right now at best. Henrik and daniel were extremely productive during those years, but electric, i dont know. Cycle games, stretch passes off the opposing teams end boards, they were good but predictable. Bo and bure both had tremendous speed and can make defenders look silly. Its the same way crosby and mcdavid get fans out of their seats. Again, trying not to take a jab at the sedins, i am just ready for a new wave of canucks core to take control. |

Yeah. I see your point and don't disagree with most of it.
We all talk about Bo being potentially a 1C, but Henrik was a legit 1C for years.
No debate.
I think he got lots of people out of their seats when he was at his peak, but not with a crash and bang, speedster style obviously.
I'm ready for new players to take over. And the Sedins are on record saying that they are as well. Just gotta knock them off that podium and take their spots.
We shall see if Bo can do that this year.
I personally am not convinced. |

That may be right. Haven't given up on Lind. Just seeing players picked after him doing better that's all. It's just an early marker observation. Yzerman had his own struggles with the team Canada program and turned out okay. |

I don't know about that.
I'm not sure how you compare the two actually.
Henrik and Daniel did a lot of Pk'ing and played on the 3rd line if i recall.
Bo was on the 2nd line for most of the year.
Different teams and different era's.

Well said. I think Bo can given the right limemates. If Bo doesn't then should Canucks try to sign, if available, Turris or Bailey to help out in 2018? So as to make Sedin need obsolete.
As far as known options Sutter and Gagner are secondary support at best. EP & Gaudette developing but could crack roster at best as sheltered newbie support. Plus 2018 draft has no generational C ready to step in. |

Completely agree. The Sedins have been hard to watch the last two seasons, along with the rest of the team, but that doesn't take away from the fact that when they were great they were damn great. |

Anyone see 17yr old 6 foot 6/7 inch 220lbs Center Jáchym Kondelik play for the Muskegon Lumberjacks of the USHL?
He's on the Czeck junior team and can skate and score pretty well. Good enough for a 1st no lower then 2nd round 2018 pick. |

You think Bo will be a better player then the Sedins? Sedins have declined but they were awesome players. Two of the best in the league, doubt Bo ever reachs that level |

No one thought Sedins would reach that but found a window in their prime. On large part to their hockey dedication and work ethic. Bo is cut from same cloth so far he's out shown his early predictions. |

Okay but to think Bo will ever become one of the best players in the league is wishful thinking. Hes a good player, seems to have a good head on his shoulders. Sedins were awesome |

It would be awesome if they could play 2nd line minutes and competition, or if we had a legit 1st line that could bump em down a notch.
I think they could light it up again, if they had the right linemate and weren't expected to carry such a heavy load (1st line and PP1). |

Agreed. Bo surpassing them in points should be a good indicator of who plays 1st line center and who plays 2nd line center. |

Welllll.
i don't think Bo would have done as well on the 1st line, lining up against better competition.
Just my opinion, but i think the Sedin's took some heat off Bo's line. |

Not having two guys who aren't great skaters and aren't the best puck retrievers dump the puck in won't hurt either.
Edit:
That's assuming that the Canucks won't be playing dump and chase hockey in a desperate attempt to be competitive next season. |
