PG is always near or at the top for crime rate. You are more likely to be a victim there than most cities(or all some years). Great central location though. North coast isn't too far, Bulkley Valley is just 2 hours away, Alberta is very close, the Peace Region is just a hop over Pine Pass... Cariboo borders it to the south. Most of the people I meet from PG are decent... unlike Williams Lake. If the locals don't (frank) you over there... the police certainly will...

I could handle PG in the summer, some awesome fishing when you head West, winters, not so much. Quesnel winters are more my style. |

The two towns are an hour apart. Pretty much the same winter. South Cariboo is much colder being drier and higher in elevation but it also gets much less snow... in 2005, it reached -48 at my cabin near 70 Mile. I only had one baseboard heater running while I was on the road in Kamloops... came home... there was ice in the kettle on the stove, dogs water bowl was frozen and my toilet froze and lifted off the seal. That was nasty... Nothing like listening to trees explodeding in the woods on a clear quiet -45 night

I lived in Quesnel for 18 months during the startup of the WestPine MDF plant, I thought it was milder than PG for sure.
That's damn cold |

The same Toronto media that suggests Matthews is a better player than McDavid. - VanHockeyGuy

Pettersson is much better than his stats show. Its evident he needs to get strong though. Less focus on weight, more focus on strength. I know they generally go hamd in hand but not if it sacrifices speed on a bony framed guy like Elias. I see lind being cut 100%. Gadjovich should grt a spot on the 4th line or spare. Dipietro imo could start, hart was brutal in the last game of the showcase. Im aldo hearing lockwood is considered a lock for usa even though only playing non contact in practice. |

ahhh so its not an assassination country then. I remember seeing this video of some arab nation and a womans face cloth slipped off for a second, they took her outside and blew her brains out. Cant believe mankind is capable of such atrocities. |

Lockwood is massively underrated by this fanbase. If he can stay healthy he is going to have a huge year |

ya hes good. But not mcdavid good.
You know i've had this opinion that a fan base often becomes like its fan media. We certainly see that in TO with its parade planning and gross overvaluing of players and in Van with the negativity and crucifying of players |

LOL nice! You never cease to make me laugh
Brings me back to me stance on penalties. Sweater penalties, too many men penalties, delay of game, broken stick etc should not be the same length of punishment as a dangerous contact penalty, stick infraction (high sticking / crosschecking, slash), charging, head shot, boarding. Yet they are all usually 2 min |
