Really don't know where to put Moulson. He's not a 4th line...the Eichel experiment failed last year.

Josefson is an interesting one. Maybe he can play on the 4th line. Maybe he can compliment a skilled pair on the other three lines. Same with Z.

I think these lines give Buffalo some real good balance...dangerous for match ups. Nylander to me is like Eichel, in that his two-way game is not what you have him for. It's how dangerous offensive skill set. Outside of Jack...he'll be the most dangerous. Keep his defensive responsibilities basic...and let the kid create for ROR and Kyle.

I agree for the most part
I just don't think we'd start the year by putting those 2 in the press box
We might have to wait till mid season to be seeing guys like Nylander, etc getting their shot

Tanking in football will take a lot longer to rebuild the team

Look at the Sabres this is year 3 after the complete tear down.

Now imagine doing that with 53 players...

- Stripes77

Kind of
How hard would it be to take this 7 win Bills team to a 3/4win team
Only takes a few key injuries or guys traded away

Look what the Jets have done

Or Remember how Indi was a 12win team every year,
then totally bottomed out when Manning got hurt...
what did they have that year, 2 wins?
The rest of their team was more talented than this current Bills roster

False:

Their defense was brutal allowed like 27 points per game (they had Freeny and nobody else)
They had QB play that was worse than the Losman/Edwards years

Manning was their team and when he went down that was it.

But Manning on this Bills team and they are legit threats to New England for the division

this is exactly why one would want to tank....especially this year.
or just keep meddling in mediocrity for the next 20 years with more hope and pray quarterbacks.

if the bills and chiefs picks are top 5 and top 10 this year... you would want to think that and another first would be enough to start the conversation to move up to number one or two overall. get it done already and maybe some of us can start caring about football again.

This QB draft is like the Connor McDavid of quarterbacks the schedule we have and the team put together we should get one of those quarterbacks this year

That's what me and fitz are talking about

- GERBE!!!75PTS

Sure because 3 first round picks(2 this year and one next) won't be enough to move up to a team that doesn't need one that finishes below us...

Jesus Christ, everyone acts like they can't trade up to get one of these guys. It happened twice last draft for Goff and Wentz and they had to give up 2 firsts, 2 seconds and a couple others. And 2 firsts, a second and a third. Big (frank)ing deal. We have 3 firsts the next 2 years. We could easily get it done.

So if u think this Bills team is that good...
how much better would they be with our "Manning" at QB?
Boom!

And that... is EXACTLY... why we should be "tanking" this season

once again....agreed completely.
nobody was calling for a "tank job" last year or the year before or most all years before that..... but this year is a different story, just like the 2015 mcEichel draft. the guy you need is going to be right there at the top of the draft this year. it would sure be nice to be last in the league this year for that reason alone.
winning 8 or 9 games does nothing more for me than winning 2 at this point, you can polish and cover a turd with whipped cream all you want but in the end its still a turd.

Not at all

With average QB play this team is still good enough to win 7-10 games this year

To tank the Bills would have to remove some good players.

It's not like the Jets had a team with good players they had to dismantle.

If the Jets pick first they are still 4 years away from having a team that is any good.

There is no boom at all

You cannot have a team that is good enough to win now (with improved QB play) tank and expect that team to be good the following year.

In order for this Bills team to tank...McCoy, Watkins, Dareus, Hughes, and two of the OL would have to be moved.

Then watch a rookie QB come in with no OL and a brutal defense and expect them to win.

Yep
This is the ONLY season I've ever called for a Bills tank

If the draft had guys like Trubisky, Wentz, Goff, Bortles...
even Winston & Mariotta

QBs like this haven't been available since Luck came out

No, they wouldn't
Without McCoy, our offense would be Dogsh!t
3 wins MAX

Andrew Luck's rookie year
https://www.pro-football-...ce.com/teams/clt/2012.htm

Again... boom!
According to you,
this Bills team has more talent than that Indi team who went 11-5
And before u try to say our rookie QB would suck without McCoy...
the Indi RBs were scrubs Vic Ballard & Donald Brown

They had the easiest schedule in the league plus the AFC South was GARBAGE.

They beat nobody good

The team was better with Manning

This Bills team is no where close to winning 10 games
But let's just say we are an 8 win team for the sake of argument
Trade McCoy & how many games do we win?

Even if that only drop us to 6 wins
(I think it would be more like 3/4, but whatever)

That still get us MUCH closer to a spot we can draft one of these 3 QBs coming out who could legit change this franchise
And that is why we traded down this year
So we could have the KC 1st next year as ammo to trade up

And wouldn't this Bills team be better with our "manning" or our "luck" at QB?
Of course they would

Come on Stripes
This is a ridiculous discussion

In our playoff drought,
We've had some really good defenses
Some really good RBs
Some pretty good talent overall

But what have we been lacking?
That's right... a legit FRANCHISE QB

How anyone could not be on board with wanting to try for one is insane
And this is the year to do it

It's McEichews all in one draft
I'm sure u were all about it for the Sabres, right?!

How u aren't for the Bills is astounding

how this is even a discussion is really beyond me. sure it is hard to intentionally "tank" in football but that anyone would say we would be better off for the future not having a franchise qb is just ridiculous. who cares if they win 7 or 9 games this year? youre still right back here next year blowing smoke and hoping and praying for a miracle just to get in the playoffs. forget actually having a realistic chance of playing in february.

Sure, but then they wouldn't have THIS Bills team.

No McCoy, probably no Watkins and I doubt the defense wouldn't have many playmakers

Also this team last year was good enough to make the playoffs with a defense that wasn't hot garbage
