That may be what the league and players want, but it sure as heck isn't what fans want, or at the very least this fan wants.

With a league overloaded with systems, it makes it often very boring to watch when guys are consistently allowed to be impeded when trying to make plays or even skate to free areas on the ice.

The game was MUCH more exciting those 2 years.

To me, the past 4-5 years have been like owning a high end sports car but only being allowed to drive it in 3rd to 4th gear.

I hope Myers bounces back, mainly because he's a really fun player when he's on, but also because he seems like a good guy. He just doesn't seem to be built for hockey either physically or mentally. He doesn't seem to have that aggression to really elevate his game and his body his an awkward shape.
