It's going to be the same this year lol
But I thought McCoy wasn't the team - GERBE!!!75PTS
McCoy had over 1600yds
I don't even think there's an argument to be made
McCoy is fantastic
I feel like he scored about half our teams TDs last year too
(Might be exaggerating there) |

If all those guys played 16 games and they did that, that would be bad. Woods missed a handful and wasn't effective in more, Watkins only played 8 games on one foot.

Wasn't there a year when Indi has 3 WRs with over 1,000yds?
Only time ever?
I think Brandon Stokley was the 3rd WR that year & I picked him up in fantasy football - jdfitz77

Not surprised that Skins trio did it
Same with the early80s Chargers (before my time)
Wouldn't have ever guessed the Atlanta one
I remember Metcalf on Cleveland as a RB...
don't remember him in Atlanta at
Kinda surprised that Houston WRs never did it |

Idk if Mathis was that good though either
Thought he was more of a KR / WR3
I was thinking they had someone else too maybe?
Can't think of anyone though |

I like powell, but he probably f@cked it up
I heard they really like logan thomas, TE project

I think Holes had a decent season like 3 or 4 years ago
Same with Streater

It's usually just so hard for young centers to be good defensively right away
That's why I'd probably put Reinhart there for now,
and see how Mittelstadt develops
Probably start him on the wing & then at some point o could think about Mittelstadt at center & move Sam back to RW - jdfitz77
that usually is, and very well might be correct in this instance, but i am going to be a little optimistic maybe here in my thinking and i dont think its crazy or really that far off.
heres a real, actual question for you:
if he comes out and wins the hobey baker this year and the gophers are in/win the frozen four, would you then still sing the same tune? |

Absolutely
Just look at Eichel
He still needs work defensively
He's just so dynamic offensively that it makes up for it
Thinking Mittelstadt can be that dynamic next year is crazy
And I'm not down on him at all
Just trying to be realistic
He might not even be "ready" for the NHL by next year
But if he is...
why put the extra defensive load on him at Center?
Let him play wing for a year or 2...
then let him move to Center
I don't see any benefit into rushing him into that spot
Do you?

that was kind of the question to begin with. If that all happens and he trends almost exactly like eichel did, is he still being rushed like eichel was? or wasnt he?
i dunno. would be a good problem to have.
my main point was that he and reinhart look completely different at the same age. he looks so much better in almost every aspect and it makes me hope for the best thats all.

Obviously. That's not the point though.
When your top 3 receivers are hurt most of the season it's hard for them to put up numbers. The Bills had 9 WRs catch passes last year. The Bengals, picked randomly, had 6. Most teams carry 6 WRs, that means we had to sign 3 WRs off the street, maybe someone was a practice squad guy, but they point is when you have practice squad or street guys on the field it's pretty easy to just cover the only threat Woods. Goodwin was a deep threat playing out of position, so you just have to keep a guy over the top and he's not going to do anything to you.
Charles Clay, believe it or not, led the team in targets, with 86. Tyrod attempted 436 passes. McCoy had 57 targets. Tyrod threw the ball to other targets 379 times and the top WR(Woods) only had 76 targets. It's hard for anyone to get any yardage with those numbers. Tyrod accounted for 3,600 yards of offense. That's pretty solid.
Supposedly Sammy is healthy, Boldin and Jones are all better than Woods. |

Mittelstadt wasn't rated anywhere near as good as Eichel
And one reason Eichel could step in right away was his strength,
which Mittelstadt needs to work on
Can he be better than Sam?
Sure, maybe
But I wouldn't thrust him into a role before he's ready for it
Mittelstadt is a guy that needs developing
Not a generational talent like Eichel who can jump right in and play
There's no comparison between the two

Besides Sammie being healthy,
the results weren't any better the year before
How long does Sammie stay healthy for?
Boldin isn't better than Woods at this point. His stats with Tyrod will be about half what they were with Matt Stafford... so about 400yds & 4td
We don't how how quickly Jones will be effective as an NFL wr, although I do like his talent

We have different definitions of solid
His 3,600 total yards still had him ranked 26th in per game average
And if I counted Hoyer (yes Brian Hoyer), he'd be 27th
but Hoyer only played 6games
That's not "solid" at all to me

Dude in all honesty I don't judge.
It's 2017 and you can choose any bathroom you'd like.
But come on.
I've made bets with you where I'd take you to a playoff game if Gerbe scored X but I'd be embarrassed to hang with you with some of the sh!te you post(and I'd like to have a drink with you at one point honestly). I've had several drinks with quite a few of the posters here. Even had the honor of having one with JT.
That said...... That isn't pizza. You wanna eat that fine, keep it to yourself. If one person knows it's one too many. |
