Or Tyrod can complete 10 yard passes and they can draft an OLB and a Safety with their 2 first rd picks - homiedclown
I wish I knew what to make of Tyrod.
I really like him but he is very frustrating at times.
If he can use the middle of the field I see Watkins having a huge year (if healthy) Boldin being that red zone target they desperately need and Jones eating up line backers from the slot.
Also a Charles Clay sighting every game would be nice.

he has the tools, so wishing for him to suck and be a bottom 3 team (3 wins) is idiotic in August for a team that has gone 24-24 in 3 years

The NFL is tough to transition to. I know Tyrod is older, but even guys like Payton Manning had a really bad first year. Some guys it just takes longer to develop. Rex did him no favors either. I think the coach and GM are smarter (than past guys) and they know if / when they need to simplify the playbook. You can see his raw talent show a bunch of times throughout the game, they just need to gameplan to his strengths. Also, he rarely had a stud wideout on the field. McCoy did everything he could, so that is not an excuse, but Tyrod seems to have the guys on his side (something Cutler and others never seem to do) so they will work with him better. I mean Robert Woods would complain (body language) during games when a bad pass was made and showed he was not interested at times. Yes Tyrod will have bad moments, but I think he is top 15 in the league. Not sure that means playoffs, but top 15 is pretty good. I too want a top 5 QB, but those are really hard to come by.
I hear some peoples thought to tank, I too think it would be nice to get that star QB, but even if next year there are lets say 5 top QB's, no way they all are star QB's in the league, so you could still pick the wrong one. I do think they take a QB next year even if they trade both 1sts and then the 2019 1st too. They will get up the board to take one, if they need to get up the board
(maybe KC falls off the rails? Wouldn't that be great! and we make the playoffs! Wake me up I am dreaming)
Yeah, the new philosophy in Buffalo is get all the centers. Draft all the centers, sign all the centers, trade for all the centers - jcragcrumple
I know I was chatting about that too. So if we do (I think it is less than 5% chance we do) get Duchene, I guess I only seeing us part ways with Nylander, Kane, Girgensons, McCabe or Borgen to make it happen.
Only Girgensons is a center, so like you said, that leaves tons of centers on our team. We really need wingers, bad, so trading wingers for another center is not that helpful. O'Reilly and Eichel NEED to be centers to stay in the middle of each play, so you have Duchene as your third center? Or do you move him to wing? Is he even good at wing?

Yeah he would be 3c i think
I'll assume the price is McCabe, Mittelstadt and a 1st (For the record would not do)
No way Mittelstadt goes for almost any player at this point. His first draft pick as a GM, no way. Reinhart, Nylander would be closer to go (dont think he would trade Reinhart) before Mittelstadt. I think Eichel, O'Reilly and Mittelstadt are untouchables.

Yeah i wouldn't do it, but that sounds like what Sakic is asking for. It must be astronomical or else MTL and NSH would have done it already

Totally agree. But maybe he just fancys more players we have then others? You know this team that can't make the playoffs has lots of "extra" players, haha. But serisouly, Sakic should be after prospects and being towards the bottom for years, we should have those while MTL and NSH would not (have as many). Other teams have more than us, just saying.

So if Mittelstadt was off the table, Nylander and Guhle plus a second? I really don't see any scenario where Buffalo needs a center and is willing to part with important assets for a guy with years left. I could see it if they would take Moulson

colorado reached out to botts
reinhart, mccabe and bailey
blah player coming back with duchene
again, colorado called, botts was curious
colorado mentioned asking price
it ended there - homiedclown
Yeah I would pass as well
McCabe is on a great contract and Reinhart is still cost controlled and so will Bailey. I think it's a fair offer though I just wouldn't do it looking at the cap.

Agreed. If you're doing a deal like that, it has to be for a d-man.
