Part of me thinks Claude turns his game around and is able to get that separation he's been accustomed to having since he came into the league. A 70-90 point campaign would be fantastic.
If he is to remain struggling with match-ups and production, particularly at even strength, then that's where concern sets in considering his contract. |

Off-topic, but from tsn:
Tiger Woods has agreed to plead guilty to reckless driving and will enter a diversion program that will allow him to have his record wiped clean if he completes the program, a prosecutor said Wednesday.
I'm glad that you're allowed to have a DUI but face no fines and have nothing on your record as long as you attend some classes.
Edit: It carries a $250 fine. - jmatchett383
Rules are just for regular middle class and under folk.

As fans we have a right to be unhappy with their performance sure but there is definitely a line that is constantly crossed on a daily basis and to some extent unfair bias as well. Look at most players in the big markets. A lot of these players get unfairly trashed. Kessel is a great example, the guy is treated worse than garbage and there is no justifiable reason why. As much as I hate Pittsburgh given the fact they are our mortal enemy, I am glad Kessel has won a cup after leaving T.O. Phaneuf is another guy. As some other people are, I am worried G is declining but the guy has been steller for the Flyers and despite the Decline he still had good numbers despite the drop. - xShoot4WarAmpsx
My obligation is to the Flyers. if he isn't contributing then I have a right not to be happy.
Off the ice they are people and i would only treat them with respect like anyone else.
but on the ice I am allowed to be unhappy with performance and express it if i want. Also i don't live in the past. Yes. Giroux has done some good things but right now he has shown a decline.
the only thing that I believe saves a player is if they have a cup because it can bring some leeway when in decline.
I hope he recovers and has a great season because that can only help the Flyers. I am not rooting for failure. |

Sadly, according to the article...this is actually an allowable rule in Florida, not just an upper class/celebrity case.
BiggE, watch out on your next trip to the Keys. |

If I made the laws, a DUI (a true DUI, not the under-21 rule) would carry a one year loss of license and 7 days jail time minimum. A second offense would mean you can never drive again and 3 months in jail minimum. - jmatchett383
First time - one year jail time
Second time - five years jail time, never drive again
Third time - life in jail

A DUI should be even stricter than that. Same goes with Distracted driving. You put other people's lives at risk. People dont obey rules because 1) They arent strict enough and 2) They arent enforced consistently. A lot of the fines are nothing to a lot of people and people constantly get away with it. If you speed, you get away with it 90% of the time, We have a HOV lane but majority of people just drive in it anyways. You see maybe 2-3 Police vehicles on the major highway PER month. |

Oh, I know. Fans boo players of every team in every city. Sometimes I'm one of them.
I have been brought to my feat to boo this team over the past few seasons and they've deserved it, Giroux included.
I've watched hockey long enough in my life to know when a player doesn't think he has it on a given night and packs it in. I've seen this team in particular do it all too often over the past several years and I've seen the captain do it far too many times for my liking. I hate the swirling drain that too often becomes a come from in front loss with this incarnation of the Flyers.
I'm still a fan of the team and the player but if I'm boxing out 3 to 6 hours of my day to watch/pay for them to compete and they don't than everyone can listen to me complain about it for a few minutes. If you're a Flyer's player and you look in the stands and I'm wearing your colours and I'm booing you as a player you should take that to heart.
Booing is the line for me though. I don't do it often but I do it with feeling.
Until they start throwing out the idiots who bang on the glass in their $150 seats I'll reserve that right. - mayorofangrytown
I freaking love that line!!! So true. So spot on.

As a life long philly sports fan, 45 years, saying some fans are classless is no shocker. Booing someones child makes you the lowest form of trash IMO. The Santa Clause B.S doesn't bother me because that story is so twisted to make it worse its not funny. Sports fans in general are becoming more and more of a bunch of idiots than ever, but there are some of us who can go watch a sporting event without acting like a drunk parasite. |

In PA the first one the police are like hey man don't do that again. Classes, fine and loss of license for 30 days. Any subsequent infractions they get after you pretty good. I think that is the way to handle it. Learn your lesson or become a repeat offender.
Also, if you cause any property damage or harm a living thing you should do real time regardless of how many you have. |
