Carol Schram: Vancouver Canucks sign Brendan Gaunce to 2-year contract; 3 beauty goals The Vancouver Canucks signed forward Brendan Gaunce to a new two-year, one-way contract on Wednesday.

Gaunce belongs in the AHL

Gaunce is our future franchise 13th forward.

Gaunce hasn't showed much in the league so far. But as one of the few players we have that actually hits, I don't mind him back for another 2 years. Hopefully under Green he can chip in a little more offensively.

Pettersson and Mittelstadt will turn out to be the best players from the 2017 draft, that's something to be excited about because we got one of em!

Gaunce is so young. Defensively responsible and does have good possession numbers too, which IMO means he's good for a 4th line spot. Hard to imagine he doesn't produce more as he gets used to the show, put him on a shut-down line with Sutter. Thanks Carol, nice to see some Boeser tape. He looks confident shooting, I like it!
