on average 4 teams or more miss the playoffs the following year
team was 24-24 last 3 years with bad coaching and a star wr that missed a lot of games the last 2 years
ryan wrecked that d
if it plays average last year, they made the playoffs last season
the bills are not as bad as people think, it's the patriots and 20 years of not winning a playoff game that makes many think the bills are worse then they really are - homiedclown
I mapped this out the other day
U can say the IF ONLY we beat the Jets twice & Miami (maybe twice depending on toe-breaker) that we'd have made the playoffs
But there were 10 other teams that only needed 1 or 2 wins
We weren't nearly as close as you think
Not bc winning those games was unattainable
But bc there were so many other teams ahead of us we'd have to leap over
The Bills aren't making the playoffs this year
Not even close

I found it funny that they let Woods go because of the cap. Rams sign Woods to a big contract, trade for Watkins, and are already paying Austin big contract. Clearly the bills do not know where to spend their money. - Mentalorgasm5
Based on what the Rams have done?
They aren't the model for success though, are they?

Holy cow, I thought for a moment I was reading a different poster trying to defend E. Kane. Let's just change "legit #1" to legit left wing; change "Orton and EJ throwing to him" to he's been on some crappy teams with crappy coaches; and change "top 5 wideout" to he's one of the best 5 on 5 scorers in the NHL.
You've bashed Kane forever because he doesn't stay on the ice, but Sammy gets a pass because....???
How ironic and funny. - LandlordTom

Andre Reed Career Stats in Buffalo. Don't give me B.S. about the modern NFL being pass-happy.
Oh, lookie, 2nd, 3rd, 4th seasons all injured and he didn't break 1,000 yards until his 5th year. He only did it 4 times in 15+ seasons in the NFL. Yet he's Hall of Fame and Buffalo fans blow their loads over him.
This is how I was projecting Sammy's career, in all honesty. I think he will blow the socks off guys down in L.A. If he stay healthy, yeah, and if I don't get hit by a car whenever I cross the road, I'm healthy.
Not too happy with the trade, to be honest. I thought the Boldin signing mirrored the James Lofton signing and we were poised to surprise people this year.
The Darby trade, eh, it is what it is. I'd have rather kept him.
We can still somehow surprise people this year...but... I hate how everyone says you can't judge them because of pre-season but it looked like same old Bills. Down by a score in the 4th quarter and fizzle out for the L instead of the W. |

All I can think of is that they knew for sure Sammy didn't want to sign here next summer and just wanted to be done with the drama.
The whole thing stinks no matter what. Trade two 1st round picks for him, he's the first WR taken that draft and the least successful of the WR's taken in the first round and even some in the second round have out performed him.
5th year option, franchise tag?
Ugh.
Predictions: Kyle Williams to New England for a 3rd and a 4th; Darius to Miami for a 1st; McCoy to Dallas for two 2nds and two 3rds; Clay to Washington for a 3rd; Tyrod to Cleveland for Brock Osweiler. |

U can't project team success/failure based on preseason
Especially games 1 & 4
Half the players we see determine the outcome of those games are either cut or backups who rarely determine outcomes of regular season games
The Bills Super Bowl teams always had sh!tty records in the preseason
It just doesn't coorelate

241 passing yards per team per game last year.
204 just 10 years ago and it was pretty consistent for a long time until recently.
2010-2016 occupy the top 7 spots in per game passing averages.
1995 is a bit of an anomaly at 8.
2009 and 2007 round out the top 10.
So yeah, it is absolutely true that it's a pass happy league more now than it ever has been before. An extra 80 yards a game just in passing? That's huge.

Even if Sammy did wanna be here...
getting that 2nd helps give us ammo to get a QB next draft
Even if he could stay healthy...
what's the point if we don't have a QB who can get him the ball?
Tyrod is ok...
but he's never gonna pass for 4,000yds
He can barely top 3,000yfs
I like Sammie
But I think getting the QB is more important
Then draft another WR or 2 |

I'm guessing that this is Jim Kelly & Tyrod...
but comparing QBs from these 2 era's based on their stats is dumb
Go ahead & post Elway's stats... vs...
idk, how about Blake Bortles?
What point are u trying to make with those statistical comparisons? |

tyrods numbers are not as bad as people make him out to be
is he great, no
but he is still a top 15 qb in the nfl who only has had 29 starts

The thunder wasn't even that close to be honest, a few seconds between bangs. It went off for like 10 seconds then came right back on.
He barks at the loud ones but that's about it |
