That's fine, but if they were serious about the playoffs this year, you trade Darby for Mathews and keep Watkins imo. I don't see anyway to justify this as a trade for this year.

I am very glad they got something for him. Not just a decent draft pick but also a young, good player at the same position.

IF Kane were traded for a different, young 20ish goal left winger AND a nice draft pick I doubt there would be much complaining.

The Browns could be better than us
Also, Kizer has looked very good for them
They might not be taking a QB in next year's draft

It will be tough to out tank the Jets though

As far as QBs coming out...
the top3 are being talked about as "franchise" guys
With mock drafts having 4/5 others as 1st round potential

Let's say we stay where we finish & get the 3rd "best" QB
Then we still have 5 more top75 picks to get guys that can be starters for us

At the very least,
the trades help us rebuild
