I see where you are going with this and nice try. But it's a hard sell to get the Sedins to part and someone to trade for both of them.

Always seem to lack depth on forward (esp top 6), have cap space, have a ton of prospects/picks and are primed to make a run for the sc.

If a back room deal is made for a 1yr extension to retire Canucks could be the caveat to them agreeng to waive & help us/them benefit & endear us alltime.
Gives us the last 2 months to stealth tank & get on with the future core.

Sure, but there are so many factors going into the Sedins being traded, and for the record I don't think it'll happen, but speed aside, I bet most teams would want them. (if the price was right obviously)

The Sedins have never been fast, they dictate the pace on the ice and have dominated for years, arguably until last year, and there were still tons of games where they owned the ice. Their decline is a culmination of age, linemates and poor team. Putting up 44 & 51 pts and not missing a game as 36yr olds is quite impressive actually. Its just a bigger drop in production from what people are used to, so the ax comes down harder.
