Anyways, all i'm saying is lets maybe give the kid a little more of a leash than 3 games. For example, maybe he'll score more than 1 goal in 77 games, like some of our other "prospects"

I still believe we will be trading a D before TDL . They may go 8 D . I think a lot of jobs will be won at Training camp

It is funny because I'm not expecting a big year - making the playoffs, it is all the training camp and development stuff that seems important but we won't see the impacts until down the road.

Some players take time to get it going like a Marty St.Louis but others just never get there. most don't.

Well said. Wonder if Palmu has the St.Louis in him to assert himself a couple years from now. It's surprise depth picks like Guadette and maybe Palmu that help make pretenders into contenders.

Plus outliers like a Rodin are part of the equation. Guy is a wildcard. Someone who's not been the NHL before and missing 1.5 years of hockey. On a rebuilt knee to boot and come blaze in camp is tough. But a jump start in AHL may do the trick.

Well it would be a 1 year contract so it wouldn't hurt the Canucks long term. The Loui signing likely does hurt the Canucks long term. Any decent UFA will want term. We should be offering one and two year contracts until the next core is ready to lead

You need some talent for the next 5 years not one . There is nothing wrong with bringing in a Sam Gagner type contract . Again one year Hank is not possible it has to be Hank and Danny
