We have beat this up for months now, we prefer to talk about our young players in the system and the players available in the draft for the next 4 seasons.

best case scenario, we trade them, retain 50% of pro-rated salary to a contender and get as much back as possible. They go on a cup run, we get some draft picks, everybody happy.

fair enough. I'm curious because their status hasn't become the sideshow that you might expect for two players of their caliber on expiring contracts. I assume neither will waive unless both are traded. That would be interesting. MTL or NSH? both of those teams need a center

Could we ask Edler to waive and trade him to Buffalo for Reinhart?

Keep in mind that Pronman has never liked Juolevi or Pettersson

I know there were some who liked that idea, but with scandella, Guhle and Beaulieu on the left side for the foreseeable future, I doubt it happens. I personally hope that if he gets traded, he gets traded for a top LW. If Mittelstadt keeps up his development, Reinhart would either be pushed to 4th line center or top 6 wing. Nick Baptiste is trending toward that second line RW so Reinhart may very well be traded

He also has Dipietro ranked above Demko, so you just have to take it for what it is worth.

Have you seen the rankings other then Canucks players? Want to post a link. I see it only came out a couple hours ago on ESPN. I'm not paying for it.

Guhle probably could have been a bottom pair d man last year and he's put on weight for this year. With the addition of Antipin, that already put Gorges as the 7 D for this year, so Guhle will be in the A, but he's definitely ready for injury duty. Point being, we don't have the dire defense need anymore that would necessitate trading Reinhart
