We have no wingers near as good as him , not even in the same stratosphere

Don't take one part of the sentence out of context. Priorities are top center and top D and then power forward. There are some skilled forwards in the system that can be top line wingers.

I understand that's how you feel. When you have an opportunity to add a 21 yr old winger that can score 35+ goals a yr, you would have to take a look.

I am not saying we could or have the assets to go after him, but you have to listen. To add a player/scorer like Pastrnak would trump all other wingers we have.

Fine. Just wouldn't send futures that Canucks need for the priorities stated for him.

Neither is Pasternak on Canucks see how 30 goal LE made out.

Plus what you give up to acquire him and then take away in allowing the other skilled wingers in system to develop into same role makes little sense in balancing out the rebuild.

Benning traded Hansen and Burrows for players further in their development over picks

Same as McCann Shink and Granlund

He is the one that says we already have lots of prospects

I'd be fine offering those type of players in a trade for Pasternak. But not a lotto 1st.

If you mention Pasternak and Eriksson in the same sentence I am going to go smack you.

One is 21 years old and the other is 31 years old there is nothing at all in common.

Eriksson twins Chaput Megna =fail fail fail fail

Can we stick to this decade lol? While there are no guarantees in drafting. The progress made with scouting evaluations and statistical analysis has narrowed a lot of seeing eye guessing. Plus there is more pressure and training put into under 18 prospects. Where the ones that make it to the top are less bust prone.

That said. I'll respectfully conclude. The lotto picks up for 2018 and 2019 are IMO better then trading for Pasternak given the Canuck needs and players/prospects in the system.

He would be a nice player to have, but not for what he would cost us at this stage of the transition.
Need to keep accumulating and build our core through the draft. Maybe the 18-19 season we could look at deals like this.

Loui scored 13 goals because he was with the twins , and then he played with the likes of even lesser players.

You guys want to bring back the twins and then wonder why are the new guys not scoring like they use to?

Put Pasternak with E Kane and Bo as a top line .

I know you are just trying to stimulate conversation but why on Earth would they trade him? They won't. It's like us trading Bo. In makeszero sense

And if they did, they'd get more elsewhere.
Will JB land an NCAA player tomorrow, that's the real question.
