Huh.
I'm gonna quibble with you a bit.
Carter and Richards were unceremoniously dispatched and Richards in particular was an absolute sourpuss his last season or so, but I really think you have them too low.
To me, they are 3 (Carter) and 4 (Richards) on that list. And personally, I also think Hartnell was a better player as a Flyer than Briere. JMO - AllInForFlyers
Everyone is going to see it different, all good. I gave Briere the edge due his playoff performances. |

Knuble was just one of those guys that knew how to score....not gifted with blazing speed or an amazing shot, he just always went to the goal scorers area on the ice, and always seemed to get himself in position to score. That in it self is a skill.... - landros 2

But did she really matter? If they included her, but cut out more essential plot elements, then those of us that haven't read the books would be even more in the dark. |

Agreed , no different to me than Tom Bombadil from LotR. Both were cool characters in the books but neither was needed to tell the story in movies or on TV.
My point is at this point in GOT i dont understand when people are annoyed it's a different story and experience than the books.

I probably shouldve used a different word than purist...I have never read the books and don't care if the story doesn't follow it. My point is that it hasnt really followed it's own story it has told in the shows. Characters that have taken 6 seasons to develop suddenly act a certain way that doesn't really fit. It seems less authentic |

Idk why, but the penalty shot Briere had in the Winter Classic forever stings me. |

Just curious: What do you base that on? Briere scored at a slightly higher rate in the RS than Hartnell and was a PPG player in the playoffs.
I am not saying this to downgrade Hartnell. He was a member of some of the best lines the Flyers have had in the last 10 or so years.
Also: Not attacking your opinion. Folks forget how long Hartnell was actually here (over 500 games). Was just curious about your criteria....that's all. |

I think Hartnell could be put ahead of Briere because Hartnell was here longer and less prone to injury. Outside of this, Briere was better. |

That was the least entertaining of the 3 outdoor games. Not just because they lost, the other 2 were just more fun. |

Would it influence you to know that you guys have my wonderful presence on the boards because of Briere? I started watching hockey because I loved to watch him play...
Course that might be a mark against him - |

Halfway thru August, and there are two 70+ point forwards (Draisaitl & Pastrnak) and two 50-60 point forwards (Wennberg & Horvat) are still RFAs.

A case can be made for Richards and Carter above Briere but no way I can agree on Hartnell. Briere never lived up to the expectations created by his 95 point season but he scored some of the biggest goals during that era. Was a factor in almost every playoff series he was in. |

I agree with you on this. I've enjoyed the last couple seasons but the plot is definitely off from the prior seasons. More predictable, more payoffs and cheap thrills. Still love the show. Next episode looks amazing! |
