Was looking into Tryamkins 3yr KHL contract & there is no out clause.
He could pay 2/3's to return here otherwise its the 2020-21 season at earliest.

IF in 3yrs or sooner I'd luv him back.
Edler should be done or traded.
Tanev maybe traded if EG shows he belongs.
That leaves Tryamkin EG OJ Stecher Hutton Brisebois possibly for 2020.
Nice mix but is there enough offense?
Next draft we might get another D hard to say could be a C.
Assets from Tanev & maybe Edler is added to our pipeline.
Upcoming drafts bringing more goodies.

Does that look appealing & hopefull for perennial PO's or cup contending?

The KHL salaries are low the real money payment is in the bonuses. Not to add the tax free endorsements. Most contract their NHL signing bonus to pay off what's left of KHL salary.

By the way what's the source on Tree's contract clauses?

It was a pretty good combination of things. One definitely doesn't trump another, just compounded it. It's not for everyone, that's all there is to it.

I don't think Tryamkin really ever wanted to play in the NHL there was a reason he was passed over twice in the draft. He refused to play in Utica which would have probably been best for his development, he didn't like WD, and he had a Russian girlfriend back home who he was pining away for.

It also doesn't help that Stecher essentially took what he thought was his spot in the top 4 and he started seeing the writing on the wall with OJ coming that he could conceivably be the 7th or 8th D man on the roster and at which point why bother staying in NA when he could go home and be on the 1st pairing on his home team and possibly play for Russia in the Olympics.

So after this week i've started looking into sending my daughter to a boarding school out of MB. Anyone else's kids go to boarding schools? Suggestions for good ones?

I also said I wasn't going to drink tonight. That isn't happening. Suicide squad, beers, and pizza.

You could be right. But got a couple facts wrong. Tree was slow to develop as a big fella in Russia why he got passed over before. He showed up for the draft to show interest in NHL and was available to Canucks. His wife was with him here in Vancouver. She kept posting the fun they were having around Vancouver.

As for the deployment issue. Believe it was Sbisa being used more then him by WD and the struggling Hutton that rubbed the wrong way. The talk then was he was Canucks best D. Don't know if fans voting for Stecher as best D was a factor.

Would you be saying that if you hear he's signing to come back for 2018?

I recall several posts of adoration by many during the season. Plus Tree and Bo being only untouchables.

Again, it took an extraordinary effort by JB and catering to Tryamkin via burning a year on his ELC and the either NHL or KHL clause in his contract to bring him over in the first place. That tells me his heart wasn't really in it. I just think his thought process went something like this: "I came over expecting to play top 4 minutes, get told I'd be slotting in there, then they draft OJ, trade for Guddy and sign Stecher who gets a spot in training camp while I am stuck in the press box for 10 games and cajoled to go play in Utica against my contract terms for 'conditioning'. Then I play well but Stecher is the flavor of the month and I am missing Russia and why should I resign when I will likely start the season as the 7th or 8th defenseman when I could play top 2 minutes in Russia for more money and play in the Olympics?"

No he didn't but you'd have to take into account center is a lot harder position to play.

Could even say Hank carried Daniel a lot IMO

Okay their first 2 years in modo
12-5 for daniel and 42-34 during draft year for daniel
47 to 45 for henrik
first year in the nhl 34-29 for daniel.
So that's 3-1 for Daniel in their first 4 years. After that it's 11-8 for Henrik.

After that is was henrik wins 2 years in a row then 1 for daniel.

- manvanfan

Do you mean in Vantel dollars or CDN?

Let's just say that the same seats at the other end of the rink are 35% cheaper because it's the Canucks defensive zone for 2 periods. I argued with the Rep that that's where the game will be more often then not. The offensive end is anywhere from $900.00 to $1400.00 per seat for an 11 game pack
