NO rush for Tryamkn to return while we r in a state of flux.
In due time on his terms is fine if he chooses to come back. |

Amazing how tankers are so besmerhed by Tree's choice. How does his taking a better option for development hurt the Canucks this season |

He fulfilled his 2yr contract so hardly a quitter.
We have control to 2022.
Vrbata he is not. Any more vitriol & pessimism? |

One of the worst drafts years EVER, so lucky to have things come together in order to draft both of them.
Burkie was lucky Keenan hated Linden and traded him away, which was the best trade in Canucks history. - LeftCoaster
excellent trade yes, Keenan was very good at trading
but Id have to say Naslund for stojanov was canucks best ever trade
ironically it was the combo of those 2 trades that formed the bulk of the WCE and Keenan that turned naslund into a superstar |

kid has no heart. left the country because he was scared of a flashy kid a quarter of his size
on other topics:
draisaitl over ekblad all day. kid is a top 5c for the next 8 years even without mcd imo.
i'll speculate over which position i'd draft #1oa much closer to the draft thanks very much
bo @ 6 could EASILY end up being value+. even if he has plateaud its not much of an overpay. - BobBot
I won't be able to take you seriously anymore. |

Just curious what people think of this, my apologies, it is an if scenario.
Elias Patterson becomes a top 10 scorer and wins a league MVP, Cody Glass becomes a 1st line Centre, but is only a top 20 scorer and leads Vegas to a cup as playoff MVP.
Who won at the draft table?
Wondering how people on here value players, are we more interested in the entertainment or the ultimate goal.

Read back exchanges with Darius. The basis for the follow up post was on opportunity Tree thought he had. Top minutes in KHL vs 6/7 D this season with Canucks. Not comparing leagues but team role. |

Like I said yesterday, you miss one bus grab the next one. There are more and more 6'7 players coming in the league that have skill , catch the next one. |

Some pouting Russian who wanted his Mommy and will never play in the NHL again. Not really worth talking about unless you have mental health issues. |

I'd say both. Kind of slanted scenario though as if EP is one dimensional. Takes many types of players to gel into a Cup team. Though I'd say as a fan of Glass's game what he brings can be seen right now in Bo plus the leadership. |

I think this is an oversimplification of winning and losing at the draft table. IMO if Pettersson turns out to be a number one center then you've made an excellent pick. A team wins Stanley Cups, not a single player. |

the KHL is NEVER a better option than the KHL. Tryamkin didn't go for development, he went because he missed his grandma and grandpa and his wife told him to get his ass back to the motherland. KHL is a declining league and has been for ages. |

The players around him will be better. Counted on for more then just offence. Versitility. At the summer showcase and canucks camp, he showed great two way game. Getting in passing lanes. Backchecking. I think he has a more well rounded game then Glass does and ever will. With some increased size and power, he will be hard to knock off the puck. |

Homesickness cant be cured unless youre away from home, you never learn to deal with it. As long as he is back in Russia and his hometown team employs him, I think he will continue to remain in KHL. If the team folds or he gets traded over there, I think the chances increase, but as long as he remains there his bond/reliance on family will get stronger and more difficult to leave again |
