I'm not saying it couldn't work. I just think if we had both, other than on the PP, it would be best to split their talents up instead of putting all the eggs in one basket basically. I think you'd get more bang for you buck that way.

the qb misses far outweigh the hits...whether they stayed in college or not, whether they were immediate starters or not...

having an offensive line is huge for a new qb...they did it in Dallas twice (aikman and Prescott) and they did it in seattle (Wilson,) among other places...Pittsburgh always has a top notch offensive line...

itsa bit of a myth that he terrible in his own zone. He struggles somtimes, like any Dman does. It always looks worse whenhe was paired with old dirt dmen in Beauchemin and Tyutin who just like to stand in front of the net and let Barrie get tossed in the corners.

When he is paired with another mobile dmen, their zone entries and exits are a thing of beauty

for the majority of his career, season by season he has been a positive possession player while putting up great 5v5 stats.

You live and die with Barrie. His Issue has always been when EJ being injured. When that happens and he is taking more ice time as the Top Pairing RHS dman, he gets trucked.

2nd Pair is where he needs to be to be effective. But the combo of him and Risto would be super redundant on your team. Having Barrie on 2nd PP would be a waste

I was after the Watkins trade.

The defense will be better but the offense will be worse.

It's preseason so I don't read much into the struggles but the o line looks bad and Taylor looked lost without Watkins. Him and his receivers aren't on the same page at all.
