Seriously other than Rogers what QB benefited from sitting? This isn't the 90's it's been documented. In fact I read an article the other day that showed data how QBs aren't sitting anymore and it's sink or swim and it's working.

For the most... guys only start right away if they're drafted pretty high in the first round
There's exceptions like Carr & Wilson, but that's not the rule

There's nothing wrong with easing a guy into it

Problem is that neither JT or Eichel are considered to be "set up" guys. Both are more of a sniper type center than a set up center. So the two on the same line doesn't really seem like it would work as well as you're thinking it would.

itsa bit of a myth that he terrible in his own zone. He struggles somtimes, like any Dman does. It always looks worse whenhe was paired with old dirt dmen in Beauchemin and Tyutin who just like to stand in front of the net and let Barrie get tossed in the corners.

When he is paired with another mobile dmen, their zone entries and exits are a thing of beauty
