Its been known for some time that they are looking for a 3C. Those comments from Rutherford are old, from around when FA opened up.

Don't know, I'm not Marc Bergevin...but if I was, I'd retain salary and try to land a prospect or at least a 2nd.

Eh, he doesn't really move the needle for me. We need a LW goal scorer to play with either ROR or Eichel. I personally wouldn't give up a second just to add experience

I think he'd be a good fit for the Pens. Plek is still a good 3rd line center.

Habs have lots of wingers though, and I think Buffalo would be a nice trading partner for them.

From last blog:

Yes Peterson has stuff to work on, if he does not he would have went in first round. I am not saying this guy is Brady, but is it possible he could grow into something? Or in his second preseason game you just know he could never lead a team to wins in the regular season? Brady sat for an entire year as second stringer before having a decent (not great) first playing year. It is a long shot Peterson could lead the Bills for years to come, but I would not say its impossible. Again, I understand it is preseason, but you need to start somewhere.
- Lilroot9

Enough with the Brady stuff. He's a one in a lifetime QB

You draft a QB high in the first in this coming draft and give him the keys to car right out of the gate. The only current QB that sat their rookie year A-Aron cause he was behind Favre. Derek Carr took his lumps and look at how he turned out. Rookie QBs (drafted high) need to start right away, take their lumps and develop. The days of sitting behind a veteran are long gone.

I think more qb's are hurt by getting the keys the car right off the bat...imo, carr is the exception, not the rule

Bills fan hyping a back up QB that is completing 50% of his preseason passes. Smh

????

The good ones figure it out

Seriously other than Rogers what QB benefited from sitting? This isn't the 90's it's been documented. In fact I read an article the other day that showed data how QBs aren't sitting anymore and it's sink or swim and it's working.

I'd label him as almost untouchable, kid's got a very bright future. MB might consider it for Sam Reinhart though...
