Haven't seen much of him on here lately, hope everything is ok with all the fires merging up his way.

Yes we have the depth to trade what the Oil may seek.
Is RNH the long term solition for us idk though.
Our D would suffer a set back but looking ahead at the next draft & with OJ knocking on the door we could entertain the idea of Tanev moving. Brisebois would be key if he is ready very soon. Losing Tanev is one serious ballsy move we cannot replace right away. EG would then be a mainstay & a raise would be more palatable at a fair price.

Canucks are really weak on RD. Brisebois plays LD so not a factor same as OJ. Tree as a LS did play as RD. Maybe could have made a Tanev move more possible at entry draft but now you know JB's reluctance. He wants a prospect RD back if he's sending Tanev off. That could change in 2018 draft. Also why I guess trading Guddy would be same by TDL if they don't sign him.

Yes a 1st would be a given since all their prospects are mid level and below. Prefer Brown for Canucks over the others but with JV and Gadjovich not so high on acquiring him. For losing Tanev you need another RD to move the puck and defend at high level. So would ask for Liljegren. Which the Laffs won't do and why they aren't a good partner for Canucks. We may have what they want but won't give up what we need for it.

Pretty much agree with you.
A deal with the Leafs would be difficult or not at all.

Of all the dumb poop Donald has done, is looking at the solar eclipse with no eye protection the stupidest? I literally heard a child say "don't look at it, it can do permanent eye damage"

All good points.
I see EG resigning here & his ruggedness & size is hard to find.
JB traded for him for those very reasons

Agree and good to bring up the intangibles. He's still young for a D and can grow with team in rebuild. I guess this show me contract is more to say how high they can go to lock in.

The big intangibles is he will stand up for teammates & bring character to the team. Leadership qualities is prolly what we need more when the Sedins retire.

Would Brown & a 1st make any sense? Idk its a hard call.
- Nighthawk

No, mainly for the point it would of happened already.

1.Tanev isnt getting traded.
2. Toronto is over the cap so wouldnt work.

I think getting RNH to be a winger would be good. dump baerschi somehow and make our top line
RNH-Bo-Boeser. Could put up decent numbers for us while we continue to lose.

I honestly don't think RNH is the type of player this team needs. It falls into the shiny new toy category that you will tire of in two weeks.

I agree with Phyllee . This team can use more grit that can score instead of another scrawny forward.

Deals happen when motivated on both sides.
Summer trades r the most difficult to do.

1) any deal happens when it makes sense
2) they r not over the 10% allowable cap increase. Any trade of Tanev to the Leafs would ensue other moves. JVR would be a prime example or Bozak at a discount.

I bet the only offer Leafs would make for Tanev is JVR.

They are more interested in trying to obtain Tavares , they could sign Franson in the mean time
