Would Nuge be a good fit for VAN? And does VAN have any assets that EDM want? Might be no for both

Scooby...I saw the email from Yahoo on the hockey pool, can we add four more teams so we don't play each other multiple times? |

Or the Wings 1st - A_SteamingLombardi
What does he fetch then if the Wings have anything to offer us we need?
There longtime search for a RHD is not coming cheap.
Eg Hall for Larsson. Is the 1st out of the question? |

If tanev was going to get traded it would of been done before his NTC kicked in, either before the expansion draft or at the draft itself. I know its the dog days of summer but cmon - phyllee
So he is locked in here & unmoveable. Gotcha & quite possible. |

I like creating rivalries.
I'd be open to it if there is interest. I know Vancity wanted in, but I don't know if we will lose any teams...
If we added teams I'd have to lower the number of players we carry, as i felt we were borderline last year with talent available on the waiver wire. |

Makar has proven NOTHING yet - he's not even played at the CHL level!!! Let alone the fact that he's 3-4 years away IF he even pans out. He's literally a pipe dream at this point. - Brooks_Light
Propose Tanev for Makar to an Avs fan and see what they say |

There should be multiple players from the Mike Gillis years working their way into, or be in, the lineup right now, that's obviously why we are where we are.
They were winning President's Trophies and competing for a Cup so draft positions weren't great, but, that doesn't excuse the state they're currently in.
Benning had a mandate to compete when he arrived, so I'm guessing he caved and agreed (stupid wussy), but ownership has now accepted a rebuild so he has two good drafts under his belt. Gonna take some time to fix the mess. - LeftCoaster

Makar is a safe bet to be an impact top 4 dman. Colorado isn't looking for 27 year olds as they are in a full rebuild. I don't want to speculate because Tanev isn't going anywhere |

There's probably a couple of teams (kneughter and Chompsey) that may not participate, guess we'll see. |

Avs need to tank badly for a few years. Sakic has ruined that franchise. We won't trade Tanev because we don't have anyone to replace him yet. Perhaps in two seasons |

Joe Sakic had to endure several years of absolute bottom finishes, and he turned out just fine.
The Nordiques drafted last after his first year, drafted Sundin. Finished last after his second year, drafted Owen Nolan. Finished last his third year and drafted Eric Lindros. Finished second last his fourth year and drafted Todd Warriner fourth overall (expansion).
1993 they were well on their way with a 104 point season and the rest is history. Drafting in good positions works if there's players there that are worth the selection. If you're unlucky like say the Oilers were with a few bad years, it takes time. |

I wouldnt say tank badly for a few years they do have alot of good pieces, especially in Jost and Rantanen. Sakic really has ruined it, which is a shame to see. And agreed on Tanev, in two years he'll be gone when Boqvist is ready |

Tanking is not a solution. Thats a fallacy hoping on luck.
As for Tanev I agree unless the right deal can be had.
If anyone thinks tanking is the panacea for success the odds say NO WAY
Its only a fanbases dream that its a shortcut to success.
30 other teams to climb over says the probability is slim to none. |

Ya it's tougher now but that doesn't negate the fact the best players come from the top of the draft. |
