He's not going to be in the NHL anyways. He'll be in the AHL unless the rangers gift him a 4th line spot.

He's not that good.

Same with Will Butcher.

So we can't put him in this years lines?

Sure we can the Comets are desperate for an offensive minded center to develop those prospect wingers.

Just got a minor update on Sutter as the last of the pro camps are over here in Red Deer. Looks like has been getting cortozone injections in one of his hands...

Hopefully that issue is gone by seasons start.

Jagr to mentor Bo and Baert?
- manvanfan

I know I'm in the minority here but I think taking a risk on Jagr here would be awesome. He would put asses in the seats and come cheap and is still very entertaining on the ice. Considering where this team is we would have nothing to lose. And he just might bolster our pathetic PP which hasn't been good since Salo and Ehrhoff...

Thanks for that insight. Well if he has an off year it won't help give JB confidence to not have the Sedins extend.

Let's put hockey capability aside. Do you think his personality would mesh well with the vets on the Canucks...?

Perth, Melbourne and Airlie Beach are awesome. Don't really care for Sydney

It's not a question of how his attitude and personality would mesh with the vets...it's a question of would the country-club welcome him in.

Personally I think he would be fine but like anything...there is risk.

Keep in mind I have rose coloured glasses for Jagr when I say definitely.

The guy is 45 and put up more points in the last 2 years than anyone on Van's roster, you cant do that unless youre a professional and take care of yourself. He isnt around to party, and would likely demand that same professionalism out of his teammates (or his linemates at the very least). He is among the all time greats, no doubt the kids would hang on his every word and do what he asks IMO

Sutter looked 'real good' here on his skates today and there doesn't seem to be any effects of a band hand on his shooting, which is a good sign. He looks good all around. Kris Russell however looked outstanding out there today. Super quick and a great first pass.
