My Cousin played with Crosby at Shattucks and did off-season training with him for many years. He always said Sid's training regiment and dedication was like nothing he had ever seen. There is a reason Sid has been the best player on the planet for many years.

Stick to the process and continue to build through the draft, the team is not ready to sign UFA's and compete so why waste the money. When the time is right and kids are ready, then you sign a UFA or two.

IMO the Canucks are two or three years away from that...

Maybe this is the organizations way of saying 'goodbye' to the Sedins. Instead of just going all in on the kids, bring in a few UFA's to create the illusion of a 'run' to the WC spot...

Fill one top 6 spot after this year. I don't care who it is as long as they are young and can score 25 and ad some grit.

Yeah I don't see how the rebuild goes awry if you "can" (operative word as it's dam hard to convince to come to sh!tty team) sign twenty something UFA's. The younger and more talented the better to grow with team. It all fits with D&D part of the plan. As they all compete and make each other better. Then from areas of strength trades can happen to fill holes/needs. The goal being the team reaches a nexus of talent to being a contender.

I think bringing in those two was well needed. I am pointing out to Lefty because he said stay the course, that I think Canucks have to continue to bring players in , otherwise we will have Chaput and Megna and be 6 years away from being 6 years away

They were free agents signed as AHL call up depth. Not to compete or upgrade the roster. Heavy injuries and lack of prospects for call ups were why those guys got played. Along with a WD quirk to over use.

you are missing my point. I understand you like (Kane), I don't mind what he brings as a player. I just think he is a bad player to have around our young players & currently making 5.25 million,he will be getting a huge increase.
His prime is now, not when we are ready to compete.
Not interested in having more contracts that will restrict this team when they are ready to compete in about 4 years or so.
