I think Murray was right when he said that Samson isn't a guy that is going to wow you but at the end of the game he had 2 or 3 points. I still think is upside is Kopitar or Bergeron lite. We won't see it as long as he is on Jack's wing.

How the first round of the draft would go now, maybe Nylander above Ehlers but they're pretty close. Maybe Nylander cause he can play center.

I still say Ekblad goes 1st.

It isn't a great draft still but not as weak as we were lead to believe. We will see more when more of the later round picks make it like.

Leaving out Viktor Arvidsson because nobody knew who he was and he was drafted in the 4th round.

"Impact" can mean a lot of things. Neither are going to challenge for a scoring title but you want them on the ice at crucial points of the game.

I don't think this is entirely fair. Teams have taken a slow development route with some of the 1st rounders like Sanheim, Fleury, Honka and Kapanen.

We'll get a better idea after this season, I think.

Arvidsson was over age, though. Seriously he's 3 years older than everybody else in that draft. He might be as good as he's ever going to be right now.

The draft was weak, we knew that going in.

Reinhart is a good player and is going to be a good player I think for a long time 50-60 point player when it's all said and done.

He just isn't a franchise player we hoped to be getting at 2nd overall.

I like Sam but I understand the criticism of him. He is going to be a flying under the radar player then you realize he had a good season. At least that's what I think.

Broads, you figure out the Bell vs. McCaffrey dilemma? I just had a draft last night and you helped to sell me on McCaffrey. I got him in the 4th round. I was 11th in draft order so was the beginning of round 4 and didn't seem like much risk given the running backs that were available at that point. Was contemplating him or Hyde. Hoping he pans out as early as this year.

Wasn't loving the end of draft order position this year. Seemed like I just missed out on the good reliable wide receivers/running backs with my first 2 picks. Went with Gordon and Michael Thomas with my first 2. Both of those guys need to have repeat performances this year for my team to be worth a damn and not sure it is going to happen. We'll see.

Never heard that. I always heard he was great with the puck. He had the vision and could really slow the game down and make things happen that way, coming out of college. <---- This him playing at center.

Now playing for the Sabres the past 2 years full time. He's been on the RW, and has made good plays with Jack. He excelled when he got in front of the net and was able to bury the goals.

He needs to get back to what made him successful. 1. Going to the gym 2. Extra practice (O'Reilly Practice) and 3. Getting in front of the net.

That's his recipe for success in this league. He took a step back last year. He has to come in and dominate, and if he does those 3 things, he will be g2g.
