You're losing a top 4 D on a great contract and a top 6 winger still on his ELC and will be a RFA for what? maybe 15 more points than you'll get with Sam with a $6 million cap hit?

That is awful asset management IMO.

Duchene is headed into his 4th season since his 70 point year...

He is a 60-65 point player at this point even with Jack

I have Sam in the 50-55 point range this year

Agreed. I'd go after Athanasiou. Cheaper and just as good of a fit. Idk how available he is but I would offer Holland girgs and a 2nd, and if he said no, offer sheet him up to 3.9 mil which is a second

McCabe-$1.6 million
Nylander->$900K
