They've signed these vets so that the kids aren't forced into roles they aren't ready for. It's crazy. Almost ten years of people in here criticizing the Oilers for gift wrapping roster spots to their top prospects and now they want to do the same here, without a McDavid on the horizon.

Canucks guaranteed not playing any teens out of camp this season. Except for OJ who might earn his 9 to prove he can stick. The prospects that make it will be 20 plus which means there was some development from draft. Unlike the Oilers. Look at Gagner lol he's a Canuck now on the cheap.

Only temporarily until TDL or when injuries set in. Besides why not benefit going after a Calder Cup with the kids as a development bump this season.

If you can move a Phaneuf contract then Canucks can move LE to a team that can use him for support. Retire the Sedins and he'll say when. If not next summer the one after. Retain salary if need be. It's better then what the article suggested which was a buy out.

If one of kulemin, cizikas, bailey, chimera, etc goes the other way in the deal the almost 4 mill in cap space works just fine

I am really tired of seeing the 2020 roster , can someone please post the 2027 roster for a change of pace
