But for all those who said the Sabres would be a destination when Pegula bought the team, and when GMTM was brought in, when Eichel was signed and now with a brilliant GMJB and a forward thinking Coach in Housley...the same results...we still can't get FA's to select the Sabres.

It is what it is, but this franchise has to work much harder than nearly every other to attract talent unless it is drafted. That is a true reflection of how outsiders view the Sabres.

That would be New Jersey.

The Sabres have done just fine signing Free Agents. They're one year removed from signing one of the top two forward free agents in Okposo.

The Bills on the other hand are a mess.

I wanted him as a free player. That was about the extent of my wanting him.

I'd rather have the Chinese guy than a slow footed, undersized 3rd pairing defenseman.

Not every FA is a fit, if you're dead set on living in a big city we can't compete with that no matter how much you may throw at a FA, within the realm of sanity anyway.
