Problem is talking about oldie moldies & Kane r apples n oranges.
Ladd & Vanek both underperformed on their contracts & Kane is 26yrs old & will get a contract more inline with his earning power.

IMO if he has another yr like last yr, he is going to be looking for 6mil+ and 6yr. I'm not sure I would want to be strapped with contract.
