I was looking at switching too but everyone I spoke with that had Telus, wasn't happy with it. - Kaynine
Had Shaw and I left because I was stuck on hold all the time. I don't care about cost, I care about my time. Telus answers the phone right away and they ensure you are satisfied with the resolution. Never go back |

That someone in here who thinks he will get a raise thinks that because player in prime usually take paycuts.
Kane was overpaid on his current contract without a doubt, but then again so was Andrew Ladd, who is of similar stature imo. - Reubenkincade
A player who didnt deserve the contract he has. Yet give him a raise? You know because he is in his prime.

Kane goes from a tough scoring PF to GM's kicking the tires?
Geez i guess we sign him on the cheap. Cannot wait đź‘Ť
Lets have Lui chime in & pump his tires on why Vancouver is his best choice. - Nighthawk
Kicking hard was meant there would be keen interest. Though not a bidding war type like if JT hit the market.
The intangibles both positive and negative make it hard to predict what will be offered. Could see short term $6 x 2 to long term $5 x 5 or anything in between $4-$7 over 1/7. If you're talking Canucks it depends if they moved LE's contract.
The interest over Kane is so mixed that his perceived value will be a storm of volatility amongst teams wanting him. |

Actually, if you just look at Kane's stats, he looked an awful lot like Bo before things turn to poop for him in Winnipeg. When he got that contract he was coming off his ELC and scored 30g/27ass, and he was progressing in each of his yrs previous. His contract might have been a bit high at the time but things looked like he was about to become a top talent in the league. |

Pretty much. Scoring wise very similar. Kane is ahead of Bo. Different characters. Different game style. I hope Bo doesnt regress. Bridge deal might be better for Van. |

Bo hasn't really shown any signs of regression. Should be 6 years at 5.5 |

As I don't think Bo and Kane are of the same character, but a bridge is a tough one. I would rather a longer deal but if the asking price for a longer term deal is 6.5+, I would do a bridge. With TL saying they have offered long and short term I'm thinking BO is mulling over what their best option is. |

And what, in your mind, is a reasonable $ and term?
IMO if he has another yr like last yr, he is going to be looking for 6mil+ and 6yr. I'm not sure I would want to be strapped with contract. - Kaynine
If i were JB & serious its $5.5m/5yrs.
More term than that then a discount.
Other details r an NTC which IMO he has not earned & he leaves money on the table if he needs that in his contract. The variables will amount to idk.
I'd assume someone would pay $6m but term idk.

I'd go bridge if i was mgmt. But Bo is in the driver's seat here. He can dictate what he wants really. |

I don't believe it will be 5yr and it's because he's a UFA after the 5yr.....but I like the $. |

Regress or not has no bearing on now.
As for a bridge deal or longterm many things r to be considered.
Bridge deal - we have cap space & JB wants more from BO & will pay for it later.
Longterm - JB has no concerns nor doubt & rather lock him up.
$$$'s & term will be the final negotiation points. |
