I don't believe it will be 5yr and it's because he's a UFA after the 5yr.....but I like the $.
- Kaynine

I start with 5yrs due to questions of his track record only.
His on ice performance is not the issue its his character that comes into question.
5yrs is max term unless JB thinks Kane has moved on from his problems.
The dollars will be what they r & Kane IMO is $5.5m value

Regress or not has no bearing on now.
As for a bridge deal or longterm many things r to be cosidered.
Bridge deal - we have cap space & JB wants more from BO & will pay for it later.
Longterm - JB has no concerns nor doubt & rather lock him up.

$$$'s & term will be the final negotiation points.

That could turn into a real good deal. I was thinking in the range of 2.4 for 2 years he would get.

Despite getting no points, elias Pettersson named player of the game. Kid looks like he will be a good one

Points will come, he looks elite. Everyone was saying draft glass but I wasn't and I didn't know much about EP benning did though and that's what counts.

And what, in your mind, is a reasonable $ and term?

IMO if he has another yr like last yr, he is going to be looking for 6mil+ and 6yr. I'm not sure I would want to be strapped with contract.

- Kaynine

If he repeats last season then i've no probs & don't see it as strapped.

Agreed.
In my ideal scenario, you sign him to a 2 year bridge deal and see how he performs over the next couple years, exposing him to a higher level of competition to judge how he performs as a 2C, on the PP and in a position of leadership.

If he continues to excel, i don't think anyone would mind paying for that and if he falters a bit, you take that into account too.

I am making the change to Telus. 20 years of shaw and they won't cut me a deal for my internet. All they have ever done is called and complain that I have been going over my data limit(300GB), but when I initially got that plan it was unlimited data. No deals and 20 years of never missing a payment as well as complaining about it.

6 years ago I called them and complained about my poor television picture and internet quality. They said that the line from the street to my house needed to be replaced. I said put me on the list and was told to expect a service rep any time. After only 5 years of me complaining about the problem it was finally fixed. Terrible customer service in my opinion.

As per Vantel, I am fine with a 2 year mistake. The last conversation I had with a shaw rep his last words were "What are you going to do go with Telus? Thats a mistake."

Canucks Don may have it right. Customer service still means something.
