I just laugh at all the people that took it seriously.
As Mayweather said post interview. It was his "strategy" to let him tire himself out. He would change the way he boxed for "entertainment value".
He was even asked about being punched and Mayweather said something to the tune " he doesn't hit as hard as an actual boxer does."
If Mayweather wanted to, Mcgregor would have been ended in the first few rounds.
Exact same if Mayweather fought MMA, wouldn't make it past 1 round. - manvanfan
It was good entertainment, we went to some friends who had a large screen set up in their backyard and had a steak BBQ with some refreshments. McGregor did better than I thought but Mayweather had a gameplan and he stuck to it. |

So the boxer who never lost boxed a boxer who has never boxed. Boxer takes him 100 mill plus and loser takes him 30 mill plus. Losers are everyone who paid for that crap. - Codes1087
lol it was a bit of a farce…but that's entertainment. I watched it for free on my phone through various Facebook feeds. I would never pay for that garbage but I've always been a bit of a boxing fan. |

It was entertainment, wasn't a boxing match. If it wasn't about the fans to Mayweather, you would have seen Mayweather pick him apart from round 1. |

Boxing is so hard to follow. Who's in what division. So many divisions. |

We had fun with it, five couples sitting around a backyard with some good food/drinks and catching up with each other's lives, plus we had the match to watch....I really enjoyed the night.
Always up early with the pup though |

It can be. And the boxing industry has been in a bit of a funk in recent years. This Mayweather/McGregor fright to me was a way of giving both boxing and UFC a bit of a boost. Dana White knows that UFC is getting way saturated and tough to watch very much like boxing has been in the past 5-10 years. So I 'get' this past event to a certain extent from a business point of view…but it was still a bit of a joke…but again, that's entertainment. |

Yup, they put on a "show". Good maybe got people more interested in both. Problem i have with boxing is the amount of weight classes and all the different sanctions. One guy can hold 5 belts in 2 different weight classes. Wtf!
Also isnt a lot of great boxers right now and no rivalries. |

It is amusing to hear your story, Telus just went through Metchosin and installed their fibre-optic lines. We were so pissed at shaw because the PVR program would freeze then start 30sec later, then freeze, and on and on. I phoned continuously, had more techs at the house and not one of them could fix the problem. The second last tech made things worse, live tv started to freeze, then start 30 sec later, freeze and so on.
So I agreed to Telus, wouldn't you know Shaw phoned and said Telus contacted us and said you signed up with them, why? After going on for half an hour they dropped our bill from $200 to $88 for 12 months, and rebated the $200 from this month. Plus they sent a tech that actually knew what to do to fix the freezing picture issue. BTW we are on the gateway system.
The only reason we stayed with Shaw is our Son-in-law works in management there and we didn't want to piss off our daughter, I did that once before by phoning Shaw so mad because the hockey game kept freezing and said your product sucks and I'm pissed off, my son-in-law was contacted because I was belligerent and they knew we were related, my daughter asked me not to embarrass her husband.
I am not a fan of Shaw and my buddy is not a fan of Telus, so overall both are money sucking companies that could give 2 poops about you or your television viewing preferences. - Makita

I will tell you this . People favor Shaw 70/30 . They are both the best option in this day and age. You will see people saying good and bad about both sides.
I found with Shaw I had to call them once every 2 years and with Telus I called three times a year. Shaw product broke down less often.
For the last 12 years I have made a living of switching unhappy Telus businesses over to Shaw . The reasons vary.
Telus does offer a cheaper 6 month plan to lure Shaw home subs and even may throw in a free TV or Computerto lure you in. After the 6 months it evens out.
Telus wins in the phone services
Shaw clear cut winner in internet
TV both very similar and if you don't mind searching out Game of Thrones on channel 4427 then who cares
Shaw serves the average Joe better and Telus is for the High maintenance. |

Anyone know of a site that might show when a player acquires points?
As an example, does player x get his points in a close game or does he get them in blowout games, which are somewhat meaningless points imo.
Also, who is on ice in close games when ahead or losing?
Thanks. |

I asked telus if I could opt out of my contract if the internet doesn't live up to my expectations they said "yes they would let me out after 6months" I don't have phone and haven't had traditional television for years now.
Right now neither have brought fibre optics to my neighbourhood. The first that does wins my business. With Shaw right now all I am getting from my internet speed is between 20 and 25 Mbps. Telus is promising between 70-100mbps. If it works better than what I am currently getting from shaw I will be happy. If telus doesn't live up to my expectations I will go back. After 20 years it doesn't hurt to try something different.

I am the same as you, I had to try.
Be aware the 20 and 25 are if you are plugged into the modem . It is not Wifi speed. Do a wifi test with the tech there and check the furthest locations from the modem for signal strength . Compare it to your tests that you can do now. You will see they are the same but Telus cuts out more.
Give it a try be your own judge.

Telus is in the process of running fibre optic in my neighbourhood now. Can't wait as my only choice is Graydon, which is poop internet and extremely terrible service. |

Thats my plan. I did a speed test on WIFI with shaw. 20-28 on average. Ethernet cable direct is a consistent 29mbps. If Telus does 70-100 I will be happy. |

They run it to your Neighourhood but not to the house which is misleading . They still use a crappy Cat 5 cable to attach to the house. It is like buying a new BMW with go cart tires.
Shaw also uses fibre on main trunks.
I am telling you as a person working in the industry for over 40years I don't give a Flying F#@k about Shaw and they don't need me to promote.

Yeah this fight was about one thing and that's money. McGregor is a hype machine and Mayweather knew it. But in the end, it was an entertains fight. |

I don't really have a choice though, I can stick with what I have or get the Telus fibre optic. I will be asking about the Cat 5 cable, now that you have made me aware of it, anything else I should be inquiring about, as I am not tech savvy. |

I figured he would get KOed in the 3rd being easily handled by Mayweather. Clearly his boxing skills are better than I had thought. Clearly Mac is a pugilist of immense skill to go 10 with arguably the best boxer in history. I hate Mayweather but he is a hell of a boxer. |
