Buffalo might have a better team right now but I feel the devils have a brighter future with the core locked up and a lot of promising prospect who will be playing on RFA deals with a boat load of cap space to fill in the holes when the prospects develop

A problem new jersey doesn't have due to their lack of elite talent. Hall can definitely be elite, but he's gonna need a center to get back to elite level scoring

Hischier and McLoed future 1 2 punch down the middle Hall looked good when he played with Zacha last season briefly so it'll be interesting to see how Hall and Hischier will play together in the future I expect to see them play limited time together this season since it's a development year and nothing else top 5 pick here we come

The Sabres did NOT have 6 NHL dmen last year

Which is exactly why they traded for 2 and signed a 3rd from Russia this offseason

Not to mention there was a huge disconnect between players and the head coach last year.
