Thanks Carol,
I don't think EP makes the team next season. |

I find it annoying when I see can the Twins bounce back. If they do indeed have a bounce back year and score 50 -60 pts that takes us from30 th to 23 Yippee.
We seem to be focused on the wrong agenda.
I would prefer to get the higher draft pick and start forming the future with the young players. The twins should no longer be the main focus |

Idk how we get around what the Sedins do bro.
Whatever happens we roll with it.
Its a long season & they alone won't carry or sink us. |

I think he will, even if he shouldnt. Until this team proves otherwise, I think they will care about having him in the lineup for promotion more than development |

I am not complaining about them . They do what they do. My complaint is the team needs to start looking past them. Focus should be on Bo Sven Granlund Boeser then the rest of the team |

I'm sure they are looking past the Sedins.
The new core has to make waves not the Sedins. |

Very doubtful for this year. But willing to bet he gets a good look at the start of 2018-19 season. |

Are they really?
Again this is not saying anything about the twins.
I think Granlund at this time is Canucks second best forward and would be best suited to play with Bo on the top line. How many times have people penciled Granlund with the twins because he gets the most out of them. That does not sound like we are looking past them . It looks like they are focused still on them. Not their fault. |

Hmm..... interesting, i hadn't heard any of this before, i thought you liked them to finish their career in style, danks 1000 points etc.... to retire in style.
Coult you share some more of these new age ideas of yours with the class, I've been dying too hear something new!

Agree on above and good to point out. Also from last thread on your post we are talking same language. We are on the same page on accumulation. My add on is that the cycle can go so far until it's deemed a failure and you have to start again.
Just take this blogs top prospect NHL readiness projections. If the players in question aren't clicking 4/5 years from now they would not have worked out. Thus, if Canucks are still at the bottom by then they would need to start a second rebuild cycle. With the remanants of the previous rebuild sold off for more picks/prospects. |

Are you thinking that despite all the moves made to make prospects earn a spot? Do you think BB is more promotion and less hockey ready? |

Disagree,
3 zone hockey etc... salary aside, age aside, best forwards for the up coming season.
Edited
Horvat
Henrick
Erikson
Gagner
Sutter
Daniel
Baertchi
Granlund
I like baer better and Eriksson should bounce back.
Sutter is underated and hated on.
Daniel still had more points in his worst season then either baer or granny in there best season. I also forgon gagner |

I agree that's it's not the twins fault. They are pro athletes. They have the drive and ego to be pro athletes. All they do is want to play. I expect nothing less from them.
My problem is how this team used them over the pass two seasons. If the coach taps them on the shoulder they're over the boards. They ain't going to turn around to the coach and tell him "Not now coach, send out one of the kids... they need the experience."
It's up to canuck ownership and management team to determine how the twins will be used over the next 3 seasons. |

They don't want to be the first line anymore, but someone needs to out perform them. |

One season at a time...
Move Hank around with different wingers.
After Dank gets his 1000th point idc he sits or goes down the line-up. |

You're on a different tangent so your comment is off the mark. Agree team change has fluidity which is really a constant. Lefty and I were looking at what cycle Canucks were in and measuring out the parameters of success with the D&D angle front and center. |

True! And that's the problem with our roster. Beyond the twins, there ain't much to work with.
Unless the canucks can grab the 1OA or (at minimum) top three, they ain't going to get a player that can step right in and displace the twins.
As much as good drafting is important (based on canuck luck) proper player development will be even more important IMO. |

Yes, bettmanmayhateus but he can't stop the development of players.... we need to grow these stars not rush them in.
Sent them all down to hone their craft in the A as stars. Then when they come up they should be ready.
Guance us the only draft pick thats earned (waivers) the right to an NHL spot.... |
