While it is true that Sully and Harrington and let's not forget Gleason should be able to write about the teams objectively good or bad, it rarely happens and they spend most of their time rehashing the same insults over and over. They are even worse on TV, when they do Sports Extra with Adam Benigni, they come off like swarmy little punks, their facial expressions are something you just want to slap off of them.

Jack is hands down the best choice for captain and he is the face of the franchise. The question about whether he is mature enough comes from his hatred to lose and the fact that he wears his heart on his sleeve. He doesn't pull punches. What you see is what you get. And what I see is a Sabres player who bleeds blue and gold. I'm tired of players who just want to collect a paycheck - Jacks words not mine. Jack wants to win. It's like a thoroughbred horse that instinctively knows how to win. And one more thing. I'm tired of fans berating Jack for speaking his mind. It's about time someone on this team takes a leadership role and problem is the fans are so used to losing they don't know what and how a winner acts like. - Goalieguy43

That's why they're newspapermen. Also, to be a total assbag, I believe the word you're looking for is "smarmy".
*Edit: And this more interesting one about Eichel's next contract and whether he should be Captain: https://www.nhl.com/news/...bag-august-30/c-290799348 This one's from yesterday so it may have come up in the last blog.

Patch, I think you got it right.
While I am the type who grew up in the "praise in public, correct in private" mode of management, honestly I say F-it.
Give the C to Jack, tell the others to buckle their seat belts and start playing to win.
If they get along, great..if they don't ... base resulting actions on productivity...
If the offended player produces...see a shrink. If the offended players doesn't produce...c-ya.
Time for Buffalo to get serious in winning, repeatedly!!

I haven't listened to it. I've heard of Carnifex, but never actually listened, but I'm guessing it's rrrrrrrooooooaaaarrrrr, arrrrrrrrgggghh, rrrrrooooaarrrr!!!!!
Edit: Not too bad. I like heavy poop when they can actually sing, like Warrel Dane(he may look like Edgar Winter's (frank)ed up clone, but he's got a set of pipes). Instead of just growling like a wounded sea lion. Or screaming like a banshee.
