Cue the Leafs fans shouting "KARMA!" in 5...4....3...2...1...
Other than game 1 and 5, 4-1 bookends, the middle games 2, 3, and 4 of the 1993 SCF all went to OT. That was as close a 4-1 series as you can get. Still a bummer.

I suspect that, even if the call hadn't gone against LA and they'd gone up 2-0 in the series, they probably would've found some other way to blow the series.
Imagine if Marleau had hit the post in Game 3 OT in 2014 and LA had then scored and won the next 3 games. SJ fans could be saying today, "What if Marleau had scored in OT?" Surely, a 3-0 series lead would've been insurmountable.
Similarly to how LA was just more mentally resilient than SJ in 2014, Montreal was seemingly more mentally resilient than LA in 1993. If not in Game 2, it probably would've paid off for Montreal and been LA's downfall eventually, IMO. It's a sport of bad breaks, after all. If you luck out by avoiding one that you would've choked on, you'll probably just choke on one of the inevitable ones still to come. |

If McSorley's stick was legal, the Kings would have probably won the series. They lost morale after Game 2. Gretzky said it... Kurri said it. It kind of sucked the momentum from them. |

Nah... Habs would have won in 6.
Best goalie in the world was on his game. Roy was god-like that playoff year.

Calling out someone for making a derogatory remark isn't a liberal issue, or at least it shouldn't be. |

Much like the n-word, this term has been taken and embraced by the group that it was originally intended to degrade. It's "their word" now.
I think this tells us more about you than it does anything else. |

Sheng Peng: What If...McSorley's Stick Was Legal?
If McSorley's stick had been legal, would LA have won the Stanley Cup? Does Gretzky retire a King? - Sheng Peng
What if Eklund banged Shania TWAIn when he had the chance?
What if the Nazi and Soviets didnt end their alliance over Poland?
What if Jax came up with a better and far more reasonable end game at the conclusion of SOA?
What if QuiGon never stumbled upon Anikin Skywalker?
WHat if Cliff Burton never died, would we still have to suffer through the re-load era?
Looks we'll never know. |

As stupid and offending as some words may be we really need to quit being so sensitive. Next we'll be called out for using the wrong pronoun at a transgender person and be fired or arrested! oh wait, that's already happening! |

This is a cop out. Someone comes in here and drops a derogatory term. He should be called out for it. Would you be making this statement if it was the n-word or if our blogger was called something derogatory because of his ethnicity? "Quit being so sensitive, Sheng!"
This isn't mistakenly referring to a transgender person as "he" or "she". And no: there is no widespread risk that people will start getting fired or arrested for mistakenly referring to a transgender person as "he" or "she". |

You're clueless to where the culture is heading then. As far as the word "Queer" get over it. I choose not to use these words but there still freedom of speech in this country even if you don't like it. Transgender is a mental disorder and those people need help.

You totally avoided the tough issue in my comment for your internet, tough guy response. Don't avoid it. Here it is again: "Would you be making this statement if it was the n-word or if our blogger was called something derogatory because of his ethnicity? "Quit being so sensitive, Sheng!""
You don't understand the concept of freedom of speech. I can show my contempt for something offensive. I can shame someone for saying something offensive. I am not the government, though, preventing someone from speaking.
You cite two events and decide "that's where our culture is heading". You perceive that, because you are scared of the world and things you don't understand.
Edit: you second source is the "Christian Action Network: Protecting America's Religious & Moral Heritage". Seems legit.

At least you're honest (as always). And context is important with these things.
