That said, this is more a product of the isolation and physical and mental abuse that transgender people are constantly subjected to, and not due to any mental illness that you believe is a cause.

You really should learn the difference between causation and correlation if you're going to incorrectly invoke statistics.

In fact, so many "mental" disorders are physiological in cause (imbalances in brain chemistry for instance), and that needs to be addressed with sound medicine instead of pity and metaphorically sweeping them under the rug.
