I think he'll end up being solid in net, posting numbers similar to last year...shots should be down, which (hopefully) means his gaa goes down and his record is better

good points, then again, Lehner did mention defense as a five-man unit while also mentioning that they didn't do that last season

Also, I'm very excited to see this second line projection Pachla. I have faith you'll make the right call.

Housley will want more of a team defense. Everyone fast up the ice and everyone fast back on the ice. We will still give up some odd man rushes but the Sabres will hopefully greatly reduce the amount of time they spend in their own end. Lehner has been above average since he joined the Sabres and as long as the Sabres can still get that type of goaltending they will be alright. Rinne is not a great goalie but the system they had in place in Nashville did Rinne and the Preds well. Buffalo may not be as good a team as Nashville but with a good uptempo system in place they will still be a playoff bubble team and it is my belief Lehner will have his best year to date. And if he doesn't play well I have no problem with Johnson getting half the starts.
