Rich Gannon is such a tool. I've hated him since he was a player. I had a friend growing up that was a fan of the Raiders. Other than the first drive, the Pats didn't look very "Pats" like. The offense was slow for the most part. Not the typical super up tempo short passes over the middle stuff really.

Wonder if it's just that Brady doesn't feel he has a guy he can get those to or what with Edelman out.

You could very well be right. But it's also possible that Brady won't be able to produce the same type of heroics he has in the past. It doesn't matter how well you take care of yourself. As you get older, things just don't work/stay the same as they've always been and he's already above the average mark in terms of when guys have a drop off in production. It's bound to happen, sooner rather than later at this point.

Thing is, age catches up with everyone. There has been few, if any QB's that have played at an elite level past 40.

He's still great....
